moog5050
Cousin wanted an AR so we put together a list of parts and he came over at lunch. Took a couple hours but it all came together. He chose a pinned mag at this point. Stag 18" heavy fluted varmint barrel in 223 with 2A handguard, side charging BCA upper, Anderson lower, larue 2 stage trigger and magpul moe stock. I was impressed with this $80 trigger. Edited March 26, 2020 by moog5050

TACC
Looks goodI agree the larue MBT2 is the best trigger for the money available. Did you use the straight or curved one?All of my previous ones were curved, and on my 6.5 CM I put a straight one and really like it.Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

grampy
Looks sweet!!! Bet it's going to be a sweet shooter too! I like the looks of the side charge also. If you don't mind me asking. What was the total cost of this build?

I will try to list to the best of my recollection: MOE lower kit - $120 Larue trigger - $80 Anderson Lower - $60 Maglock - $25 BCA Upper - $80 Side charging bcg - $80 Plug for upper - $10 2A Handguard - $150 Gas block and tube - $40 Pmag - $15 Barrel - I gave it to him but say $200 Total = 900 ($700 for him) That barrel is a tack driver so I know it will be a shooter.

Moho81
$900 I'll be honest that's less than what I was expecting but of course you still need to toss a scope on there so that's a few hundred more.

Wait for sales and go with a mil spec trigger and cheaper handguard and you could build it for $250 less. Anyone that's building for $500 is going real cheap on every part including barrel. Even then, not sure how they build for that little.

I was expecting a custom built gun to top $1,100-$1,200 with out the scope. I’m still not going out and building one. Just saying.
