Steve the guy in the video is not about building big non functional muscles, he is or was a boxer..... Climbering 2 ropes wearing 50 pounds of vests with just your hands is not a bodybuilder movement lol. Nor db snatches or any of the movements, those are athletic movements, power and core... and yes dragging 150 pounds around the block would be great training for hunters. train like ya fight.

Ross was experimenting with mass at that time though, but he's an athlete and trainer of athletes.

My fiancé watches that mob wives crap, along with the real housewives stuff. Too catty for me, I cant stand it. Jersey Shore is funnier to me. They are all just crap entertainment though.

There was Sprats on the Water in Island Park, and Sprats on the Land in Westbury which is now Glo. I'm taking it back a long time... Sprats on the Water was a good time back in the day, it was next to Patty McGee's.

Yeah it was sprats then it changed to something else, was a huge place....

Anyways, back to getting in shape / weightloss. I went low carb on Jan 3rd, doing pretty well, I have a lot of weight I want to loose.. I'm actually working on a Weight Loss tracking web app (maybe android app too) if anyone wants to help test and use it let me know. Its just a simple way to track your weight and any measurements along with goals. I really made it just for myself starting a few weeks ago but I starting building it out to allow other users to use it as well. Eventually add charts / graphs and some bells and whistles. I might leave it simple or add some more features, undecided at this point.

apple has a cool app as well to calculate cals, fats, carbs, protein and so on... pretty cool stuff. John is you want to try a diet that one can actually enjoy and burn the most fat and burn no muscle while dieting id say try a CKD.

Cyclical Ketogenic Diet

its a great diet, i enjoy what i eat and my mood is fine. when you eat things that you enjoy and see results from its up lifting. I admit, it is a bit unorthodox and hard to grasp at first but it is by far the best diet i have done to date and time will tell how good the results are. Hope you reach your goals John! stay committed thats the key buddy.

Yeah I have read about them all... CKD is great, right now really sticking to strict < 30 carbs per day... So far down 15 lbs and feeling pretty good other then craving some pasta and bread. But hunger wise, I never am "starving" any more and I get satisfied pretty quick. I stick to the basics, eggs, meats, salads, fish and water. No soda (except some diet soda for my mixed drinks!). This works for me, I dropped 50 many moons ago going this route. Once I get down to a weight I'm confortable I'm going to up my carbs slowly and look at CKD and the other options.

P.S. I just watched the movie "Fat Head" its really interesting (and boring)

lol never saw it... sounds good, sounds like your on the right path!

im at around 20 grams of carbs a day but NO breads, not the carbs you find in breads, patas, rice and so on. all my carb intake come from greens and its not much. Its pretty neat watching my buddy switch from producing glycogen and using carbs for energy to producing Ketones and using fat as energy. I have zero cravings and never left feeling hungry. My wife can eat, breads, cookies pretty much anything infront of me and it doesnt bother me. On traditional diets i would have yanked what ever she had out of her hands to binge lol BUT not now... Weird part about it is on my 24 carb load up which i start Sat afternoon and end sunday afternoon, i dont even feel like i want the carbs but after my full body workout i have to do it and restore my glycogen levels.

hope we both get the results we are looking for. this year i want a VERY athletic look and just keep when i get there... we shall see

I just want to drop the weight as fast as possible, then I'll worry about changing my diet to fit the needs of my lifting plans. I had an issue the past 2 weeks where I couldn't work out (not even cardio), I had cut get infected. Anyways, even with zero cardio, I'm down ~10 pounds in two weeks and a total of 19 pounds since Jan 3rd. All because of eliminating carbs... Its a beautiful thing, and hope I can stick to it for at least 50 pounds. With the elimination of the carbs my caloric intake is down slightly but not much, which is why I'm never hungry really. And even if I am, I just grab a snack (peanuts, meats, cheese).
