What a beauty. Think it'll beat Mark Surdi 217-3 gross, 205-1 net 17 pointer; Erie County top archery buck from 1996? Got a good shot at it.

Great buck! I don't think he'll net anywhere near his gross. Long Island does it again.

That is one nice deer. What year was it taken in I see the deer has a yellow tag.

I had a chance to see the Giarraputo Buck in person during our annual Big Buck Club meeting Saturday and it looks like it will be the new NYS Archery Non-typical record... I believe the panel score netted 210 and some change beating the Surdi Buck by about 5 inches... more info to follow...

Is it me or do a lot of big LI deer have unusual antlers. The big one's never seem to be normal. Inbreeding? I am by no means putting it down the racks just seem crazy and misformed.
