Couple years back NYS sent me my new boat registration, the letter with it said it was printed on waterproof paper . Apparently it was ink proof too as it all “ disappeared “ the Post office had to open it to try and read my address ,then write it on the envelope.

The new paper they used this year is thinner then one ply toilet paper made out of old phone book pages. I haven't had an issue with any fading though. Maybe they used that erasable ink like in those Eraser Mate pens this year.

Dicks printed me a new one for free. They are having a heck of a time with it this yr. Paper is considerably  thinner than last yr.

I laminated it this time with heat sensitive type lamination.

Can you download your license info on your phone? Seems technology is there. DEC can run our info to validate our license now, if they want.

Yes the HuntFishNY app has my license and tags and allows me to report my harvests through the app.

Laminate said it was for heat sensitive print. Been sitting on it all day still looks good. Ill let you know if it doesn't  lol.

My tags are wedged into the side of a frame by my bedroom door looking sharp and clear.

If they fade I'll let you all know.
