Both sides have meddled with free enterprise way too much in recent years. Who started the bail outs? It was a republican Bush who bailed the banks and others out while he was in office, so it's only natural that once the democrats took over they would throw even more money into everything. I would let any private business fail, who can't make it on it's own. If we really are a free enterprise capitalistic nation, that is the way it should be left. The way I see it things won't be much better no matter who gets elected. You vote in a democrat and they throw Godzillions into every feel good social programs and issue which will bankrupt this nations future in the process. You vote in a republican and they will start a war in some fleabag nation where we spend Godzillions to fight it and then to rebuild it only to be then spit at by that nations people and which will no doubt also bankrupt this nations future in the process. Both parties are the same power hungry crap, they only have a bit different agendas. Both sides also want to take away rights. The rights one side may want to take away may not be important to us, but it is to others and it's the same with rights that the other side wants to take away. Many just stick with the side they agree with most and don't give much thought to how the other side feels or how it will be effected. That is the problem with this nation. Just too many narrowminded people who refuse to take a minute to actually listen to the other side or stop and think how their agenda will effect others. Without honest discussions, compromises, and tough decisions, businesses fail, friendships fail, marriages fail, and will no doubt lead to this nations downfall.5 points

Lol ... Trolling for some controversial arguments??? Sorry, not biting. I really don't get involved in bashing someone's religion. I'd rather concentrate on hunting, fishing and trapping issues.2 points

This two party system has polarized this country so much that neither party will work with one another anymore. I lean republican(for a new yorker at least) but for four years all that the republicans have been focused on is bad-mouthing the president. Its time to scrap political parties, the electoral college, conventions and lets take a real one man one vote computerized vote. Whoever wins the overall popular vote takes the election.2 points

I wouldn't look to any politician to solve any math problems, you can't spend more than you make and expect things to get better yet every one of them does that.2 points

Is it possible he failed to mention the 2nd amendment because in light of the recent shootings independent voters could be scared off? You have to remember, conservatives will vote conservative in November and liberals will vote liberal. Politicians are really competing for independent votes and those voters may have had their attitudes on gun control soured by the recent violence.2 points

After listening to Paul Ryan last night and reading the full transcript of his speech this morning I was surprised that he did not mention anything about the 2nd Amendment and gun control, especially in light of the multiple mass shootings this year and more so in light of the fact that he is an avid hunter. Although he did elude to God given rights since the founding of our country. He did say: "Each of these great moral ideas is essential to democratic government — to the rule of law, to life in a humane and decent society. They are the moral creed of our country, as powerful in our time, as on the day of America's founding. They are self-evident and unchanging, and sometimes, even presidents need reminding, that our rights come from nature and God, not from government." Overall I think he gave a good speech about getting our economy back up and running and fixing the country's job crisis. Lets just hope he and Romney aren't just blowing smoke up our a$$es.1 point

They can try, but the deer population is beyond control unless they decide to kill them. I see groups of 10-12 moving through the woods now, and if you go to Clay Pit or Mount Loretto, the groups can be even larger. I've seen some amazing bucks in some places too. If you go down to the driving range / paintball places near the old oil towers, you can see deer grazing on the far side of the range every morning. Twenty people launching balls at them and they barely flinch. I bust the chops of community board 3 every now and then to tell them to start a archery-only lottery to cull the herd. Instead of having to pay thousands to deal with the problem, they can make money. =D1 point

I remember when I was real little my father always went to hunting camp for a week and I always wished I could go. He would come back with a buck and I would help skin and process the deer. I wouldn't leave my fathers side until the last piece went into the freezer. When I was about 7or 8 my father started taking me out with him for a still hunt one day before he would take off to go to camp. He took me small game hunting for a few years after I took my hunters safety course but he he no longer had the hunting camp. So it didn't take long before he quit hunting. He refuses to hunt out of a tree stand and always said he had to travel to far every morning to have access to enough land for him to still hunt. To this day I still haven't spent time at a hunting camp I just hunted by myself. This year I bought a camp next to brasher state forrest and talked my father into taking a week off in november to start hunting again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk.1 point

Pretty sure Romney's stance on abortion is that he is pro life except in the case of rape and incest. Its all out there but that wont stop the liberal liars. Thanks Deerthug!!! I thought she went away1 point

Doe has a good point. What is the weight of your arrows? You dont need 350fps to kill a deer.1 point

Abortion isnt going to change. Its a stance that gets votes, thats all. The gay rights stuff is most likely going to stay how it is too. Nice fear mongering though.1 point

OK monkey given rights. And please do tell what rights the republicrats are getting ready to take away please?1 point

"God given rights"....Interesting term...since there are none. Rights come from the mind of man; they are created by man. Governments, of men, bestow rights on citizens...and sometimes take them away...as the Republicans are now poised to revoke citizen rights already in place. ("Humane and decent??)1 point

I dont know what strip clubs you are going to, but the ones I frequent dont have strippers that look like they fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Of course, you are in Binghamton, that could explain it. I once went to this place called Red's in Middletown. It was like a freak show.1 point
