  1. It Goes to show the fear that the word "Muslim" carries. Its a shame that they (meaning Politician's) caved to twist Ideology. They think if you accept them they will blend in, NO look at the UK, France, and the other idiots that though that. They don't want acceptance they want to change the USA to a Muslim Nation or destroy it. The Current powers that be are making it very easy for them, they will not conform.

  5. George Carlin A liberal/Socialist, I never found him fun, he was like your old grouchy uncle that smoke and drank than when he woke the next day he did the same, he only found himself funny. The Pope nor Pastor's nor rabbi's are killing people or telling their followers to kill. There is big difference between ISIS and Radical Muslim and can not be compared to others. The acceptance of Muslim School days means they can recruit younger children. This is opening a Door that should of stayed shut, wait until they are in our Government (some are already)The out come is the fall of American Traditions, and more of what we are living in now.

  6. MY daughter just got home tonight from her end of this trip! She spent the last three nights with her fellow classmates in Paris, France. This morning they boarded a plane from Charles de Gaulle airport and were in the air for a little over 8 hrs en-route to the Toronto airport. Then they took a shuttle bus back home. It was a long 2.5 weeks for us but with the phone app called "Whatsapp" and a little "FaceTime" we could keep in touch pretty good. The 6 hour time difference was a problem of course..... They were all over; Rome, Milan, Venice, Innsbruck, Paris and all points in between. She took over 1000 pics with her Iphone....hopefully she weeds out some (MOST) of the lousy ones and prints only the best blue ribbon pics. Funny thing, when all the kids piled off the shuttle bus they fell into their parents arms and lots of hugs and kisses flew. All the kids then congregated at the back of the shuttle to grab their suitcases. Each kid or their parents grabbed the appropriate luggage and then walked off to their cars, no goodbyes at all. I thought that was strange and I said to my daughter. "what gives with that, nobody said goodbye" She said, "ahh, we're all kind of tired of each other"!! She said all was good but they just needed some time apart now! They all are expected to be in school tomorrow morning of course, soon enough to see their buds.

  8. http://www.beesource.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-196570.html Some info I found quickly. A comment in there from a former inspector. Looks like you dont need any permit or anything unless you are transporting or selling broods. I know quite a few people with beehives, and none of them register anything, nor does it cost much for them to produce honey for their own family use.

  10. Last year I started calling and decoying them in to the camera the 2'nd week of April. By May 1'st I had a pretty good idea of where they were hanging from the limbs, and where they went after fly down. I enjoy "shooting" them in April more than May, and they're always a little more cooperative early on!

  11. I believe that the French got all bent by the term "No Go Zones" and claimed that there were no such thing as no go zones, when in fact the french refer to these areas as "Ethnically sensitive Areas". And although it is not a written policy, no one but muslims go into these areas.

  12. They are not stupid if the real objective is to ban the private possession of handguns. That must be the real motive behind the legislation, since it is proven it does nothing to lower crime. The stupidity is in the heads of the people who allow it to happen and vote for the elected hacks that propose and pass such tyranny.

  15. Now, I am not in support of observing these Muslim holidays, but as usual you don't know what you are talking about. NYC public schools observe Christmas, Good Friday, Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. Are these not religious holidays??

  16. Technically speaking, Christmas and Easter are religious holidays. But don't mind me. I'm an atheist.

  18. I work for a living in custom home building, so active during the day. My other outdoor hobbies include hiking year round, and backpacking so that adds some extra workout. I have a trail close by with 900' elevation gain in 8/10 of a mile, time on that will tell me where I'm at. Also have a county park with several miles of woods trails right in my front yard, so gets the dog moving too and off the couch. I have a New Zealand mountain hunt in May/June, so I'll start pushing my pace and carrying a medium pack. I hike with trekking poles and that helps with arms and torso some. I'm naturally lean and don't gain weight; but I eat well for the most part, don't smoke, drink alcohol and caffeine in very limited moderation. Have tentative plans for a 2016 hunt at altitude of 12-14000' that has me a bit concerned; thinking of plans for a real schedual for fitness for the first time as I get older(turning 50 this year). That will be the last hunt I need to list all 6 huntable continents as a personal goal.

  19. I do moderate resistance training (bench, curls, abs) 1/2 hr on Monday, Wed, Fri Mornings, and 20 minutes on rowing machine + abs on Tuesday, Thursday mornings before work. Also do 1/2 hour of cardio (bike or treadmill) + crunches (250) each weekday evening. That hour or so a day is well worth it when hunting season comes around. I substitute real work like hauling or splitting firewood, or outside biking, snow-shoeing, skating, skiing, etc, whenever possible and always on weekends. I change up the routines slightly on a monthly basis to avoid the "plateau" effect. Something simple like switching from incline to decline bench presses/pushups, or grip position on dumbels/barbells or rowing machine is all it takes. I also keep an old low-letoff, high poundage compound bow in the basement that I start drawing as part of my morning routines, starting around April, thru the end of archery season. I draw it left and right equally, although I only shoot right. Keeping in shape definitely makes hunting easier and more enjoyable, especially in the mountains. Your legs should get the most attention if you want to make hill-climbing easier. Once you get your legs into shape, you can ditch the ATV with no problem, and go places you cant even think of with one of them. I am in better shape at 50 than I was at 25.

  22. So when the Egyptian government comes out and condemns Isis that's doesn't matter? Even the Taliban and hesbola have been fighting against ISIS. The thing is that many of you guys believe that Muslims come from the middle eastern countries when In fact those are just a fraction of the Muslim population. These countries just happen to be some of the most extreme countries out there when. MANY IF NOT MOST of the Muslim countries have condemned ISIS. But what does that do when some of you guys believe that they're terrorists anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  27. This is my answer: "While it’s hard to ascertain the exact level of Muslim immigration, it’s very clear the level of immigration is rapidly increasing. According to numbers crunched by the Center for Immigration Studies based on data from the Census Bureau’s Factfinder database, the immigrant population from predominantly Muslim countries has grown from 1.7 million in 2000 to 2.7 million in 2013." You'll have to figure out your own strategy soon enough. I suspect you will just cave and join them.

  30. I think her complaint revolves around someone on YouTube took a few of her video's and put them together into one clip. Unfortunately again, this has nothing to do with us this has to do with YouTube... You should see all the other videos from the person where the content came from: https://www.youtube.com/user/bear3360/videos I wonder what the hunter harassment laws are in NJ?

  34. I spent some time in the Netherlands, Amsterdam and the Hague while a junior in high school and stayed with a Dutch family. Such a mix of cultural identity there. The family was absolutely fantastic. Parents really cared about their kids, they were pleasant, and it just seemed like a fun place to grow up. Got to see Amsterdam's rich history, Anne Frank house (that was a mind-blower for me), and plenty of the stereotypical Amsterdam impurities. The Hague was impressive because of the United Nations presence and the historical tourist stuff. I was able to tour the ICOJ and also attended a war criminal tribunal because I was an officer for the international model UN conference taking place. However I certainly burned the candle at both ends. The kids I stayed with were less than a year older than me and it was nothing for us to be at the pub until the sun started to peek through, and we'd bike home (bicycles everywhere!), shower, change, attend school or the UN conference, and repeat. After day 4 in a row of this, I realized as an American who generally took some pride in being from a small town where keg parties and such were the norm...I couldn't remotely hang with them. The funny thing was though, the kids were dead serious on studies and full throttle "work hard, play hard" mentality. Right after class was the informal snack time, where studies/homework would take place, we get cleaned up for dinner, relax, and then head out around 9ish to the pub. One is an architect now and the other is in finance/business. I have the utmost respect for them. There was a group of about 8 of us from wNY that were selected to go to this, and it was probably the highlight of my time in high school outside of sports. Kids that don't get to experience going abroad miss out, plain and simple. Glad to see you/your daughter made it happen and that she had a fun time. It goes by fast. As far as funding, my parents/grandparents and I paid a portion of it, the school donated some money, my class fund donated money, and finally, the community (Lions, Rotary, etc.) held a couple fundraisers to generate the money needed to go on this. Two of us from the school district were selected, the only district with two participants and my small community took some pride in it. It was humbling. My stepdaughter never got the chance to go abroad for school, but we took her to Europe in 2012 after graduation from high school. It was fun watching someone realize there is more in this world than the USA's impression of it. She was amazed at the Scottish Highlands.

  35. I suggest you look again. The official NYC school calendar (which I posted above) makes mention of Rosh Hashanah, Christmas, Good Friday, Easter and Passover. I am in favor of observing these, but NOT in favor of observing the Muslim holiday, but you clowns (as is usual) are making some mighty big stretches here with the nonsense you are posting.
