  2. Is there any requirement for a pistol permit for black powder commemorative pistols?

  3. The only requirement I have heard was you have to list it on your pistol permit to hunt with it and then only single shot 45 or 50 cal. I believe CVA makes an inline that is legal to hunt with. I don't think you could carry it loaded without a permit and having it listed but that's just my guess. They have changed the law recently to hassle law abiding people and accomplish zero to hurt their protected class, you know felons.

  4. Nice morning for the special Holiday hunt. Just can't ask for any better weather conditions for the hunter. The deer are acting like October's in the air.

  5. The new binocular harness is pretty sweet. Hopefully, I’ll get to try out one of my other Christmas/birthday presents later today. Now this is a Knife:

  6. The fowl are pretty much grown up now with the exception of the Belgian Giant Fighters which take almost 18 months to attain their full size. Took a couple of photos of the morning feeding with the Soay Sheep. Also a photo of "Kevin" my Varmint-Hawk guard, he has done a good around the clock job keeping them away with no problems with aerial or ground varmints. Weather is starting to get pretty cold I will have to put a coat on him.

  7. There’s no need for that, He’s just got to learn to work that lever a little faster on the original and maybe replace the oem one with a “big-loop” upgrade:

  11. Heck of a nice day for Jesus’s and my birthday. It feels like 70 degrees out in the sun. Great day for some target practice with the old Red Ryder. I killed the heck out of this Ruby red can. Ralphie ain’t got nothing on me. Santa was good to us this year. Our kids got a lot. I got plenty: a signed T-shirt from my favorite NCAA basketball star, plenty of socks and underwear, some WW 2 and Civil War books, a nice binocular harness, and a fine deer rack. It is about as symmetric of an 8 pointer as I have ever seen. At least it will be after I fix up the busted brow tine later this winter.

  15. There are many bills each legislative session that are introduced and some make it past committee for floor votes. So you are correct, this law wont be the last. Eventually they’ll whittle around the edges of hunting its inevitable. Theres a few efforts to limit even personal possession of certain trophies, similar to California. I expect that to pass at some point .Big five, and assorted others species including giraffe/hippo/some antelope have been written and in committee several times in addition to other big cats from around the world. The only thing thats stopped current efforts is the importation hub at JFK and writing a comprehensive enough bill that regulates transiting through there versus remaining in NY and thats a Federal jurisdiction. And general deer hunters wont care about any of that either as it wont affect them, no surprise there.
