  1. It seems that if the Trump teams has confidential documents it’s due of a hanging yet the Biden team gets caught with the same papers and it’s hid from the public for two months and pushed off as …Nothing to see here! Go Figure. Again it amazes me what kind of idiots can support anything Left.

  2. About 5 years ago I bought my neighbors property. 11 acres and trailer. The Husband had died and she could not take care of the place. I helped for years and knew we would come up with a plan when the time was right. So I bought it and she came back with her son and took all the things that meant the most to them. So I was left with a tailer that was pretty much full with all kinds of stuff. Without getting into great detail these ended up in my basement. I cleaned out the basement today and found them and brought them up to my family room. I just love them. Just two trays but as I look on line John Macleod was quite the artist. They look great where they are. I feel fortunate to have them!

  3. Started off the new year hunting a new farm that's having some issues with coyote. They lease their land to deer hunters, so we didn't get access till deer season ended and then we went to work. The land borders the farm that I dropped the single coyote on 12/31. The bright night started off slow with nothing answering our coyote calls or coming into the distress calls. We didn't see a thing moving at all, so at midnight I decided to give my back a break and got up to glass the fields behind our stand. I was going to suggest that we move to another stand location when my buddy whispers that there's two dogs coming in from our right side. I get back to my rifle and hit record. The wind picked up and started to swirl, so when they started to get antsy, we put the hammer down. The 20 practical shooting the 40 grn Vmax does it's job. 52lb male and 35lb female. My Halo was in the shop, so I was using my 20 cal backup rig with the AGM Adder scope. It's always good to have a backup rig ready to go. Just got my Halo back from repairs and will need to sight it in on the .243 and get to work. SJC 1/8/23 Double

  4. I put 5.5 miles in last week, found one dandy shed, bumped several bucks still holding. Going to wait until February to go back to that spot. Going to go out this afternoon for a few hours close to home. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk

  8. My 5 year old grandaughter has been begging my son and I to take her out hunting with us. Well today she got her first set of camo clothing and couldn't wait to get it on. I guess we will be adding another chair in the duck blind and ground blinds this next season. I'm overjoyed that she wants to get into hunting and am looking forward to taking her with us.

  9. I use the stove black if the surface is being used to cook or heat water on in pans and such. The paint I found scrapes off very soon and the stove black seems to endure the use better. Also, the stove black is easily applied over small areas to "touch up" surfaces. For show the high temp paint looks really nice when evenly applied and sprayed on....

  10. We have had a good experience with them. They are responsive when we contact them. We have had our lease for about 10 years now with no plans of dropping it.

  11. We lease from this company. So far we have had good relations with them. I am not sure how up to date their website is, but you could shoot them an email and see if they have any available. https://www.woodwiseland.com/hunting-lease.html

  12. It is finally alive, been acquiring parts from all over the US to build a three hundred and thirty eight Winchester mag Thompson Center Encore. She came out pretty well I think. Waiting for some brass which is terribly hard to get these days to handload some test rounds. I once had a very accurate Sako Finnbear in 338 and still have the loading equipment so getting this one stoked will be easy. Took several head of big game and and probably a couple of dozen woodchucks with that Sako rifle, some good memories. The hardest part was getting the 338 barrel, they are rare and I was outbid a bunch of times on any that came up on ebay and gun broker, once I had the barrel picking up the rest of the parts was was not bad. Every part was used except the walnut forend. Al

  20. I don't plan on putting the miles on the boots looking for sheds like I did last year but have managed to snag a couple of early ones so far in a spot where I know that several of the bucks that made it through season have dropped already...

  21. Here's my most recent pic of my yellow lab Waylon. That was taken 4 days ago on New Years Day. There were 6 of us out hunting that day which was the last day of duck season. He had a ball retrieving all those ducks. Everyone who has seen the pic remarks on how proud he looks.

  22. I have a NEF 25-06 single shot and love it . It is my go to deer rifle . The only draw back is that the ammo is 1 1/2 times as much . My 14 year old grandson has a Savage 25-06 bolt action and shot 2 deer this season . I re-load for both of us which helps keep the ammo price down . The re-loading components I have are before all the prices went up .

  23. Sure, why not? Recoil should be between the 243 and 30-06 obviously and surely tolerable, if not enjoyable DEPENDING on the weight of the rifle. 117gr bullets of good construction will hammer any game you point them at in NYS and most of North America. What gun are you pondering?
