lol ok stop I am in tears.
Each guns fires a little different. For me the 165 grain works great. That round will kill any deer if that's what shoots great in your gun then your all set. Good luck!
I was always addicted to hunting but shooting my first deer started the obsession and missing a few pushed me to the edge. I joined a nuisance permit this year and wow did it help scratch the itch! I have yet to shoot at my first deer with a bow but with the sniper program on LI I have changed my view on shooting doe and will target them this year for the first time.
Funny even with 8 guys hunting I am still solo as the sport was meant to be. But to hunt solo is another world and is very enlightening. Be safe, have fun and enjoy the woods. Remember family and friends before hunting. Best of luck and I hope to see you in pictures this season!
Hunting is a bug that causes an itch, I hope you get to scratch it this season!
My buddy had over a foot in his basement. Lucky for me I had cleaned my gutters about a month ago. Crazy how quickly this rain fell, 13 inches in Islip with 5 inches in one hour.
WOW I have been on LI for over 40 years and never had any rain like this morning. I know you guys and gals upstate get some heavy rains at times but this was just unreal and very local.
Over 12 inches with five inches in about a hours time. CRAZY!!! The storm came from the south and dumped so much rain that many of our roadways where closed and many people stuck at home. It barreled across Islip into Middle Island and over to the North shore.
Anyone have any pictures or video of the flood?
I am trying to get one of my friends son into hunting. His younger brother is ready but he is at that stage in life where he is not so sure. He has the interest so I am trying not to push hard. Many other people tell him hunting and guns are bad especially in school. Hoping his brothers future success will reign him in and win him over to the joy of the outdoors.
