  1. At what distance? If at 10 yards move the rest. If at 40 don't touch a thing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  2. If you have the stabailzer straps, you dont need the rope tied in between your top and bottom, you leave the straps loose while climbing, and they hold the bottom up. once you get to where your hyunting you cinch them down and your good to go
  3. id strongly recommend googling third hand archery and picking up their stabailizer straps and bow holder. No exageration, the best 40 bucks ive spent in a long time. the bow holder makes it so you can climb the tree with your bow, and the stabailizer straps hold the top of the climber firm while your standing. www.thirdhandarchery.com
  4. grey squirels running circles around my stand. you never know if its a deer or a squirrel coming in.
  5. I have a Titan, very sililar to the goliath. im a ex college lineman, and i like the extra room
  6. Welcome aboard. There is good state land south of rochestyer i used to hunt when i lived there, dont recall the name though. Some big deer out your way too
  7. MY wife is taking her course next week, this will be her first year hunting. She's been shooting my little 20 nguage all summer and is pretty good with it
  8. i really like the first few weeks of october. hard to beat hunting in a sweatshirt with crunchy leaves,
  9. my muzzleloader has a scope on it. though im not sure why, its a pain in the ass to sight in, would like a peep sight and just limit myself to 80 yards or so
  10. Someone definitley knew what they were going in there for, its hard to find one treestand in the dark when you know where it is, much less 6. Goodluck catching the sob's

  14. 2.5-3.5 would be my guess.. hard to judge a pic like that. definitley 110-120
  15. im shooting for 1 p&y buck and a few does.
  16. Ran into a neighbor down at camp, he had a camera on stateland i didnt know about, approximately 20 yards from where i hang my climber. He had photos of me on a Saturday, and this buck on a Tuesday. Not bad for an upstate 8. No one on the hill shot him last year, cant wait to see what he looks like this season. Any thoughts on a score?
  17. My goal for this year is a p&y buck. i have 4 or 5 that should go 130 2 of them i have patterned pretty good. First light.. good luck man. if you need any help shooting him im sure some members would love to come by and help. lol
  18. probably the best 20 bucks youve ever spent
  19. both those pics are actually from the same county in WI according to AT.. both September bucks too. I remember 10 years ago when a basket 8 was the standard 4 yr olds rack around where i hunt. slowly but surely it seems we're getting bigger and bigger racks off the same hills. I dont know if its weather related, better food or has to do with the decreased hunting pressure, but it seems like NY is creeping along. Hopefully in a few years us upstaters will get bucks the size you Long island guys pass!
  20. from the looks of my scouting. its gonna be a VEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRYYYYY good year.
  21. I used to skip school every gun opener as a kid. Basically the only day my parents allowed me to. I turned out ok
  22. culver, i got it, we're on the same page i juts got confused about ur first comment. thanks
