My brother smoked the neck & it was great tasting. He also did one in the crock pot & the meat just fell off the bones with no gamey taste at all then made a stew with it. I plan to use one in the soup pot, my dad use to make a great veggie deer soup with the neck.

Had a 16 ga. sxs which I sold to my cousin . I loved that gun for rabbits. He won't sell it back! Nice guns.

I just read where when ever making deer meat cut apple slices all over it & it takes away the gamey taste. Do all your other seasoning put the apples on top , when done discard the apples & enjoy the rest! Worth a try, is what I plan to do on my next roast.

Glad she is ok. We have been there done that but with a little extra. The deer hit the pass. side scared the hell out of my daughter & wife. We had the car repaired . Then two weeks later the wife & daughter were at a stop sign & a drunken deer hunter on his way home from a gin mill turns & runs right into them hitting the other side of the car in the same place the deer hit them. Had the car repaired again at almost the same cost. lol about it now! -
K-100 beats them all. Other then the ethanol free gas. Try it you'll like it.

Is it hot or is it just me?! I put up a new stand & did some trimming yesterday, 90* hot & humid! Got sweaty, hot & sticky!

I have a doe & a fawn in the back yard every Am for the past wk. Also 2 friends have been seeing some in their area. One set of twins , & one single one.

Agree 100%.! Speaking of tax payers money did anyone else notice the state/prison issued bunk beds, mattresses, pots, pans & other items in the correction officers hunt cabin ? Looks like tax payers may be outfitting some hunt cabins. Also one has to wonder why they walked past other cabins & ended up in a cabin owned by correction officers? What could 2 killers offer/do for anyone on the outside,why help them? Makes no sense.

Look's like our back tags may be a thing of the past?

I always wore my back tags & was told by a gamie that was all you can have in the back tag holder ,& nothing else at all not ever the carcass tags. Have never carried anything else in there after that. -
I normally skin & roast the whole bird but the trick is to keep it moist, lots of shock absorbers in the legs! I did a skinned one in the turkey fryer once but didn't turn out to well. I think a plucked one would work in the turkey fryer but as mentioned they are a pain to pluck. I know at home we would dip poultry in boiling hot water to pluck, maybe will try that if I get one.

Had a bear sighting in Alden yesterday around 7:10 pm. near Genesee & Crittenden rds.

Try a shock call sometime using a crow call, just give a single loud blast on it & listen sometimes they will gobble right back.
