While I don’t disagree , you have to realize theyndont pay much in taxes to begin with . And FLA has still a surplus budget unlike NY I’d be ok paying a grand in property taxes ,while they waste that money , here they take many times that , plus 8% state tax , higher gas tax and tax everything else, then waste my tax money on regulations and welfare , oh an zero state tax in Fla as well . Zero . Oh and everyone there seems happy vs all the sour pusses in NYS . I’ve never been called sir so much as when in Fla , doors held , waving me on at intersections , stopping as we approach a crosswalk . They’re all happy !

You spelled Moog wrong . One way I look at buying land is, you’re just transferring one asset into another . We’re currently looking at condos in Fla online , if we end up doing it ,we’re just shifting assets ,although HOA and taxes come into play , but a year of that is less then two months of renting there by far .

Ya it’s a crapshoot , I hear all kinds of prices near us . I just hired a senior Appraiser, from Farm Credit East , just to get a feel on what ours is worth , farmland has a ton of variables, ours has a ton of road frontage with utilities. The report is due tomorrow actually.

Just looked around at what I have here , although it’s in a few locations , and when we returned from Fla in a March it took two months till I found my last ammo box I hid ! Ten boxes SST, ten of Brenneke KO slugs , two lightfield , and some Fusions which were her slug of choice , I grabbed the others when I couldn’t find fusions . Five boxes of Winchester Defenders, a segmented slug, geared more for SD . She deer hunts with a 7mm08, these are just back ups in case something happens to her rifle .

This holds true for most ammo today . I haven’t hunted with slugs in years, yet I have boxes of 12ga . My daughter has several kinds for her 20ga , which she also no longer uses, lightfield , Hornady , some KO labeled things and a bunch more . The best time to buy is when you see it .

I understand that . We’re reversed my wife for years wanted to leave, I like being close to our adult children, and soon grandchildren. If we could get them to move, it would be a done deal . our one nephew, sold his law practice in NYS and moved his wife and four kids to Texas, largely for better opportunities for his kids ,and of course political climate

Ok Larry , I don’t know when you did this but they were in the garbage tote ! Daughter and son in law are on their honeymoon, and I’ve been working on their house , finishing insulation, painting , yard work . That coffee can had floor paint in it , so I tossed that from the bed of truck into tote , I have no idea why I tossed out those shoes . of all the things I lost , I miss my mind the most .

Ha wife said that , but I didn’t drive home in socks , I forgot my Muck boots , I generally drive back and forth in the shoes and change into Mucks , so If that was the case that would be a possibility. It’s odd

So I wear a Merrel “ light hikers “ daily , Sat I wore them to our land to shoot and swap trail cam cards , I haven’t seen them, since ! I’ve searched the basement , first second floors, garage , patio ,vehicles ,for two days nothing . I asked Mrs Nomad if when I showed her the trail cam pics I was wearing pants ? Nope , boxers , see I was concerned about ticks so I either took,pants and shoes off in the garage or basement , pants were washed , shoes nowhere to be found . Ive misplaced pocket knives , pocket flashlights , and reading glasses many a time , but shoes ? 90% of the time I take them off in the garage, or at the kitchen door . how does one lose shoes lol

That’s a good plan . I’ll throw this,out there , I don’t make adjustments to pins , rests ect . based on one shooting session. So say if I’m left, today , it’s gotta stay consistently left over a few shooting sessions , before I adjust anything . Achery is a game of consistency, form,follow through ,anchor pt. Grip and on and on , just do it the same way each time . Once your group tightens up , you can tell better what’s what . I may just dust off my bow today !

Idk, when my shoulders became a bigger issue , I went over to Moog’s Archery and Hunting Emporium. He has a scale I guess you call it , but then I’ve heard his eyes aren’t that good .

Keep in mind come Sept 1 at least one that ships to NY will no longer do so , I except most if not all others to follow . As of 9/1 Ammo must be sent to Ffl who is required to do a background check ,that doesn’t exist yet ….
