    I hear alot of people talk about deer drives and nothing seems less appealing to me when it comes to shooting a deer.

    The plan right now is to use the 30-06 . I haven't carried a scoped weapon during gun season in probably 10 years. I'll have my 30 30 in case plans change.

    I'm not the one to ask for advice on how to approach him ,definitely go the nice route first .

    My advice is to catch him hunting your property before you ruin the relationship . The guy behind us accused me of hunting over the line because i mounted a ladder stand on the side of the tree facing the line ,i explained to him it would do me no good to shoot on his property when the deer were traveling on our property and i use the tree for coverage as they come in.

    I never understood the dislike for loose powder . You pour it in the measuring tube and then pour it in the speed loader. I used pellets for one day and threw the rest in the camp fire ,i don't understand how anyone can shoot that crap ,i made one shot and had to push a brush after every shot .

    I use the tubes , i load them at home and just bring a few in the field . The tubes are actually nice because you dont have to take your gloves off and fumble around when loading .

    For me what really helps is hunting the same property since 2002ish , I have a really good idea where to focus my attention depending on the time of day . Then it's just a matter of getting down wind of that location and sneak in.

    I just might have pissed on my leg that night and never even knew I did it. It was either that or you walking around the place all bristled up ,what ever it was ,the entertainment bought US a drink that night.
