I've been fighting with cold feet for years , I bought some 2000g Irish setters and thick socks ,those are the best things so far i have found , unfortunately they are so loud when walking in cold temps due to smashing all the frozen ground below . I wear my muck boots as long as temps will let me just because of the noise. The weird thing is i can hold a gun or bow all day with bare hands and not get cold but man do my feet freeze fast.

I'll second that the neighbors are doing plots most likely . Our neighbor has many large food plots which I have no desire to compete with , the bedding area where I hunt is an overgrown Apple orchard that recently had trails cut through it for my buddy to practice for GNCC (dirt bike riding) . I believe those 2 things have really led to the drop off of deer in our hunting location.

You had snow to help improve the situation . I learned awhile ago not to push to far forward when tracking ,if you focus on the general direction ,you can see where the leaves have been disturbed enough to get a general direction of travel ,walking ahead to much usually disturbs the forest floor.

I agree completely, all of those mentioned should be making more money then a pro athlete ,unfortunately that's not how it works .

I also just discovered a nice rub , SOB left his gun leaning against the tree in the same fashion ,he never did come back for it either.

Everyone knows that Bigfoot does the hunting for the grey aliens , they drop him off and he gets what they want and then comes back to be picked up . That's why he's so hard to spot . Sometimes he's on earth and sometimes he flying around in a space ship getting scratchins for being a good boy. -
No it's a screen shot of the generic response in the hunting and trapping portion of the information on the DEC website that I keep coming across.

Things are changing a lot where I hunt ,88 acres all to myself and the same 3 deer every weekend . The stuff that is changing is having a really negative effect on the property holding deer. My thought is to hit up some state land next year for archery ,the problem I've run into while doing some research is this generic answer to the question of where to hunt on this particular piece . The whole thing is not open to hunting but the website doesn't give specifics as to where you may hunt .
