It's windy and warm. I kept trying to tell myself to stay in bed and catch up on sleep for for some dang reason I'm here.

I was always a Roger ragglin fan back in early 90's, guy was amazing and revolutionary. This makes we wanna get all his vhs tapes out of the basement and have a ragglin marathon.

Maybe stupid ones but not older bucks, did you see that bucks reaction. I doubt you will catch him again in that spot. Yrs ago I had a white flash hung near my stand and had a doe walk in front of it and it nearly crapped it's pants before jumping away.

Does that have a white flash?? Yeah toss it, that will ruin a spot fast.

Thanks, it will just about be all from rain/snow, he hit a couple little springs but just a small amount was coming out. Its also positioned on a slope so it will benefit from run off. This soil is near perfect for a pond and can't wait to watch this fill. I'll keep posting the progress.

I 2nd g-man, pics during the summer don't really mean much. It's time to adjust the setup which isn't a big deal. You didn't get descriptive with your area or where exactly your seeing these deer 100yrds away, oak flat, field, swamp.... Where are they bedding and where are they heading to when your seeing them? I guess that's my question to you? Once you answer that q then you can adjust your setup.

Really isn't much diff in gas mileage, I went from a extended cab to the crew cab f150 and it's a game changer especially with kids and dogs -
I get id'd when I buy beer and I'm well over age, I don't put up a stink just show it and move on. Crazier things to worry about jmo

Years ago I went bow hunting with minimal cloths it was near 80 that afternoon hunt, I didn't expect to see much of anything but as luck would have it I had a large body 7pt stroll down the deer run less than 10 yrds in front of me. The fun part was watching him go down in view, the pain was getting him out skinned and quartered on a Monday night.

I'm not one to make them all fancy, putting the tongue back, cleaning up the blood on it and so on. To me it takes the realness out out of a real life event.

I think when you break it all down it comes to the land you hunt, what it offers for food, water, cover and so on. You can own a lousy spot and you can lease a lousy spot. How much time you spend in the stand gives u more chances at success.

Gosh I have two spots but every time I'd go to one place and it didn't pan out I'd sit their wondering how my other spot was, so for that I just stick to our land. I have a hard enough time deciding what stand to sit in there

Yrs ago we went to see him at Darien lake, we had recently had our son and had a little getaway with friends. We in the lawn area and you could see a thunderstorm coming from the West while Tom Petty was playing. Storm comes over us, it's pouring rain and heavy thunder and lightning and mid song the power goes out and the crowds going wild. Power was off a short bit. Power turns back on and those guys picked right up mid tune and finished that song. Cool moment I'll never forget.

I grew up on a well and unfortunately still live on one. If it's the pump you will have to pull the whole thing out of the well and replace it. I'm sure a local electrician can do. It also could be something with the tank inside. I would have a couple people come trouble shoot it before the well guy comes. I would doubt it ran dry after this lame summer.

Exact scenario my brother ran into last yr. After bumping we gave him lots of time and brought in deer search eventually found him hrs later still alive and shot him for the final kill. I'd give him longer.

Mowing and power washing the house today, then I'm washing my gear and shooting my bow finally.

Ok it's officially done. We finished the seeding and spreading old hay and straw on the banks and pathway. Let's hope we keep some decent weather to get some green showing up. Off to my sons football game tonight!
