  1. Prayers sent. Can't imagine how tough it must be not being by your wife's side right now.
  2. It's one thing to make a point or to give your opinion. It's another when you keep repeating the same crap over and over and over again. That's why you get the nod for the Papist Memorial award.
  3. I don't have much to say other than putting Rattler's name up for nomination for the Papist Memorial Award for forum BS.
  4. https://www.fieldandstream.com/shotgun-review-benelli-super-black-eagle-3/ i've read more than once that Benelli's are made to shoot high. They require a different point of aim to be dead on target.
  5. Other than being a bit low, it looks like a really good pattern to me. Do you also have a bead in the middle of the barrel or just a front bead? I find that the middle beads helps a great deal in aligning the barrel with the target. There are lots of rifle style sights you can attach to the rib of turkey guns also. They will definitely get you on target. I myself could never completely trust something like a red dot sight. Too many things that could go wrong with it at the wrong time.
  6. Very sad, my condolences. I will admit that I was skeptical of this virus at first. I honestly thought it was just another thing the media wanted to sensationalize. But, we are seeing more than a few young and healthy people losing their lives to it to make me a believer that this virus is definitely no joke. And, it surely isn't a joke for those family who have lost loved ones. We should all hope and pray that our loved ones will not be the next victim and that the world can somehow get rid of this disease very soon and for good.
  7. Yeah, does anyone have an old barn or something that they can set on fire in the Catskills? Rattler claims to be a fireman, so maybe he'll be called to put it out and we won't have to listen to him here.
  8. What I'd like to know is how in the world did this guy get chosen as the Surgeon General of the United States? He was apparently head of Pence's health department in Indiana, but I don't know if I'd trust him to put a bandaid on a cut. Many claim that Trump drained the swamp, but he sure as hell scraped the bottom of the barrel with some of his choices for key government positions.
  9. Jeez Rattler, is Trump paying you or something? You seem to be just like him. You won't let anything negative that is said about him go. Many love Trump while others can't stand him. I can assure you that you won't change anyone's mind no matter how much you defend him here. Just letting you know. Have a good weekend.
  10. That is a really great deal for all that. I've always considered the Howa a very underrated rifle. They are known to be extremely accurate. They're the company that makes the Weatherby Vanguard series rifle, so they are pretty much one and the same barrel and action.
  11. I agree. Seems like there are plenty of naysayers here about wearing masks, but I for one think they work better than the experts tell us. They may not be 100%, but even 10 or 20% is way better than the 0% when you don't wear a mask. And yes, you can contaminate yourself if you don't use them properly, but if you use some common sense how can they hurt? I don't have any N95's but I wear a homemade mask and even put a folded paper towel on the inside of it for extra protection. What the hell do I have to lose? I can fight for my other rights when this drama is over. I will admit that I was a skeptic about this virus when it first started, and the real truth is that only a small percentage will die from it, but as others have said here, you don't want any of your loved ones to be part of that small percentage. So it's best to take all the precautions we can.
  12. I honestly believe that masks are way more effective than most people and even the experts think. Notice how the Asian countries have managed this virus way better than Europe and the US? I'm sure wearing masks had at least a little to do with this. I get the slippery slope scenario with society being ordered to do this and that, but at this point it may not be worth taking unnecessary chances. Lets just all hope that we can somehow get rid of this freaking virus and hopefully get back to normal soon.
  13. You might want to check out the Corona Virus thread. There's a black dude there who kept showing off his banana. LOL
  14. I was slow in planning a summer vacation this year and I guess that was a good thing. Nothing needs to be cancelled since nothing was booked. The trip that won't be cancelled is next weekends youth turkey hunt with my son. It will be his first Spring hunt. We got a 4 hour drive to our leased land and usually stay at a hotel while up there, but to avoid all human contact we will be camping out in a tent instead. We'll bring everything we need for the couple of days and sleeping outdoors should just add to the experience. We are both looking forward to this very much!
  15. The big question is whether Fauci will be with the Trump team until this thing ends? Trump dumps people more often than I change my socks, so the odds aren't too good for him.
  16. I absolutely won't blame Trump for any of this virus drama like some are trying to do. What could he really do 2 or 3 months ago? Shut the nation down before anyone had the virus? No one knew $#!+ what was going to happen. It's easy to point fingers now. If anything like this ever starts again somewhere in the world, the first thing the entire world needs to do is completely quarantine that nation or whatever nations the disease is spreading in. No one is to leave or go to those nations. Some could cry racism or whatever the hell they want, but this is the only way you will ever contain something like this. Continue to let people travel freely and now you can see what happens. With that said, I completely agree with your statement. Trump simply can't keep his mouth shut. It's all about him and all he wants is accolades from everyone around him. It's embarrassing to watch him.
  17. Just got the email from the DEC. https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/NYSDEC/bulletins/285b66b
  18. My son took the course last June (I sat in with him) on Long Island and there was absolutely NO hands on with any firearms, real or fake. So from what I saw, he learned way more in the homework part than he did in the 8 hour class. I was very disappointed with the two course instructors to be quite honest.
  19. Great find, Culver!! My son took the firearms safety course last summer, but it would be great if I can get him an online bowhunters course where he doesn't have to sit through another 8 hours of pretty much the same thing. The website is not too clear whether this includes the bowhunters course, but hopefully the DEC might clear things up when they make their statement.
  20. Dean Martin is probably on the ground passed out drunk by the bar. LOL
  21. Blackbeltbill's hero David Carridine from the TV show "Kung Fu" is there too. He's on the ground level way back near the stairs.
  22. No one recognized Yul Brynner from the movie "Westworld"? He's over Clint Eastwood's right shoulder. He's dressed in black with a black hat looking back from his chair.
  23. It's a bit hard to see him because he's short but I think I see Pygmy pinching the Dukes of Hazzard girl's (the one carrying the beer) butt.
