  1. I have been into comics in and out over the last 20+ years....Infinity War was a fantastic movie. The ending did not suck, its abrupt(not quite cliff hanger)....But Thanos did exactly what he set out to do. Now we need to wait for the Avengers 4 to see how things continue...or are "undone".
  2. little car here(long daily commute), I use a hitch mounted carrier like many others. So far so good.
  3. I live right near there and I stopped in on Sunday. Nice store. The layout is almost the same as what Mtn was, but now there is a big counter in the center of the store where the archery tech, and bicycle tech is. They didnt seem to have any over priced casual wear as Mtn did, the clothing was much more activity specific. Gun prices were not too bad, they seemed more inline with competitors, a very decent selection of AR15 parts, pet friendly store, and I read a statement that they are 2A friendly to patrons with carry permits.
  4. Take care of your back! I had a herniated disc back in 2013-2014. Worst year of my life. Dont wait around, if you even suspect anything, go to the doctors office. Stretching and yoga got my mobility back, I graduated into weights and am 95% better today with no surgery. Back injuries are no joke and should not be taken lightly by anyone. Good luck and get better.
  5. Our power did not go out, but we have a woodstove as a secondary heat source, and I also have a traditional kerosene heater as a back up to the woodstove. Electricity or not, I'm not going to freeze when the power goes out and the furnace cannot run.

  7. I heard about this from a co-worker. It does suck if Herbs does goout, I do like that store.
  8. yeah i dont tackle hers much in the cold....usually during the warm weather, I'll do a full on shovel it out and clean it usually 2x....she messes it back up within a week or so.
  9. My wife's car is a disaster....napkins and wrappers in the door pocket, and cup holder. Tons of little lotion bottles and lip balms in the center console, a few CD's scattered around, random gloves and shoes scattered here, there, in the back, under the seats. I often joke that she should never drive co-workers at lunch time. Mine usually is pretty clean. I started driving for Uber as a side gig, and so I try to keep it free from clutter and dirt.
  10. So its a snow day today and I'm home with the kids. I took my wife's car over to the bank to get money for the weekly sitter bill, and I am amazed at how messy my wife's car is inside. So not in a bashing way(just for sh*ts and giggles), since there isnt much else going on this morning, who else has a significant other who keeps a messy vehicle?
  11. Agreed! I think I still prefer Runnings, and Herb Philipsons for buying guns, seems to be less corporate/political BS. If there were more small gun shops near me I'd likely goto them as well, but the drive to and from is my only issue.
  12. Cicero store was slated for end of Feb, early March....looks like a ghost town over there. Hoping if they do open they are better than the last store. Runnings is my new favorite store though!
  13. That was awesome! I’ve been out twice this year, killed my first coyote Saturday evening at 5:30.
  14. This evening was my second coyote hunt. I set up my decoy and e-caller at about 100 yards away from a ladder stand I set up on my dads property in 8Y. This was my first time using this caller and I hit the remote just around 5:15 to make sure the range was ok. I set the wounded cotton tail call, and it worked, so I decided to wait more till dusk. All of the sudden, he came trotting in around 60 yards in front of me, and went to check the decoy, he stopped, and turned, looked around and began to walk back into the woods...that’s when I took the shot, and dropped him instantly. My first coyote, nice big male!
  15. WD-40 is ok...it can collect dust when its still wet, and then it turns into a sticky mess... I've seen this with equipment vs firearms. I like using Ballistol these days.
  16. Moog, Mean Arms mag lock kit looks like a bolt with a sleeve nut, I think once it reaches a certain torque the head snaps off leaving the hardware in place of the mag release, and since the head is now snapped off, it would require drilling it out to remove. I set up my Ares with a green spot light, with a standard 5 round magazine, I hope to have it out this weekend for some Coyotes myself.
  17. https://www.meanarms.com Mean Arms sell a nice little alternative for top loaders. They have hardware kits for "pinning" mags to the lower. The only draw back I can see to a top loader for hunting, is UNloading it after the hunt. Still...I'm tempted to build one. Currently I use an ARES SCR (Fightlight Industries now). Uses a different design for the buffer system and bolt carrier group, the stock is modelled after a Remington 1187 if I'm not mistaken, but the rest of the rifle is AR-15. Its NYS legal.
  18. Yeah, I pretty much got up, grabbed my stuff, and walked out with my side arm drawn.
  19. I went out this evening for a short sit. I didn't see anything, but I did hear some coyotes behind me barking and yipping back and forth. I was on a time crunch, or else I would have stayed longer. No matter how many times I hear them, it still makes the hair on my neck stand up. Good luck out there.
  20. Good luck! I am taking my 8 year old out this weekend, as he asked to go. Plus I may try to sneak in a few coyote sits as well in the dark hours!
  21. I have one of these knock off gopro's on my shortlist of items to buy. I've watched some youtube reviews and it seems like its decent enough for hunting type stuff. VS the cost of an actual name brand gopro, its almost a no-brainer.
  22. I have used the brass catchers on my ARES SCR, and it saves alot of clean up headaches as well, with out it, that rifle sends brass about 15-20 feet across the area. Hand guns not so much, usually I try to pick up or at least sweep my brass every couple of rounds.
  23. I've had good luck with Ballistol. It is a natural base, it neutralizes the acids in the BP residue. It can be used for a variety of other things too. https://ballistol.com/uses/
