  1. CVA optima here, and my dad has the Wolf. Great guns for the money.
  2. Onondaga cty here.... I've never seen any, but I'm told we have Pygmy Rattlesnakes here.
  3. I'm hearing a small buzz from some co-workers that some of the CNY Walmarts are starting to have some .22 on their shelves. Seems like .22 has been completely empty for a few months. Might be a good sign. Cicero Gander Mtn had some a decent ammount of .17HMR the other day, they still have absolute squat, but seems like things are slowly trickling back in. Lets hope by Fall this nonsense is on its downslope.
  4. Yep. I use the same screen name across many websites.
  5. Are you willing to ship to Syracuse? I'm interested.
  6. Holding out as long as i can. Definately hy next weekend. Need to put some Scotts down right after that too so i can tackle the crab grass that comes every year.
  7. I think its suppossed to air 4/2 on History Channel. Should be interesting. I'm a little unsure on how to take all these new shows that showcase "redneck" (for lack of a better term) lifestyle. Such as the Duck Dynasty(which I love watching BTW) this new show, Swamp People, so on and so forth. I know that all the ANTI crowds will and do attack these shows, because it doesnt go along with the NeoliberalcommieRAT lifestyle, but I wonder...do these shows actually show a negative view on things to the person who is in the middle and isnt totally against these things? OR does it help provide a little bit of insight for those people, hopefully showing that we arent so bad afterall. I guess if they actually put in some real hard facts about things(such as deer in residential areas and the damage they can cause), any sort of education is good.
  8. I wouldnt bother with AJ's. They have good stuff, but prices are WAY too high, and the old man who runs it is sort of a jerk. Legends of the Fall are down in Tully, Kuzin's archery, and then Fitz's archery, are in Cicero and Central Square respectfully. out in Chittenango there is Fulldraw Archery and range. Hoolers out in Elbridge is a good guyto deal with. If you want to travel a little south... Check out Barretts Bowhunting in Elmira. Those guys rock, and they carry Mathews and Hoyt.
  9. Yeah Ive seen some stores wih stock on shelves, but the most popular rounds are either not in stock or super expensive. Been thinking of picking up an air rifle just for plinking now. Either that or just shoot my bow a lot more.
  10. I heard Tompkins Cty voted on a "weak" resolution in opposition....but then forwarded it onto the Committee for Public Safety for review. I havent heard anything else yet. Broome Cty had a resolution all ready to go, and I think one legislature blocked the vote until the next meeting, next month. Not too sure about Albany, and pretty much everything south of Westchester is a lost cause. I would be EXTREMELY suprized if any opposition officially comes off Long Island. NYFirearms.com has all the info on this.
  11. I know many counties passed resolutions, taking an official stance saying "NO". Seems like Schoharie Cty is backing that up. I hope more counties that passed resolutions will do the exact same thing. Hit this bad law from all sides until its gone. Good for them.
  12. I got mine in 2010, here in Onondaga Cty. Now it takes 14 months from date of inquiry, to the time when you can go START the paperwork process. Back when I did mine, it took 5 months start to finish. Onondaga says its because they have one clerk, and still use an old manual system. They are in the process of updating to a computer system to help speed up the process.
  13. How would buying a gun ( such as a bolt action deer rifle) from a private seller out of state work now? Do out of state laws apply? Does it require a NICS check?
  14. Myself, and 3 co-workers were there. We were just in front of the water fountain thing pretty much right in the middle. Very close to the folks selling the Yellow "Don't Tread on Me" shirts. Great turn out, great speakers....Was proud to be there.
  15. I heard Al Stirpe lost his cool and started yelling and swearing at us while people were grilling him with questions in his office.....did anyone get that on video?
  16. Had a very good turn out. Few of the speakers said it was the biggest group ever in the courtyard atthe capitol.
  17. I find it strange too. Hopefully its just All of us trying to log on and get info about tomorrow that caused t to crash. Been down since around 6:30.
  18. Take that conversation any way you wish. I read it, from my point of view....a smug and arrogant professor being put in his place.
  19. Assault weapons aside.... Even if you bouht one that was beat up.... Hipoint will fix any issues no questions asked.
  20. Awesome! Great for you guys. I hope Onondaga and the rest all step up and do the same. We are well over 20 counties now that have passed Resolutions. See you all out in Albany on the 28th.
