    Same gun I took out Wednesday : Mossberg 500 pump. 12 years old, from the Dicks Sporting Goods in Latham. She's killed alot of birds.

    Heading down for a nap, but had a bird come in silent mode, hung up at 70 yards. Very nervous, didn't fan much and was peering at me the whole time. Took a poke at him, didn't even ruffle his feathers. Had another gobbler come in, peeked his head over the hill at the deek, skedaddled back into the woods and wouldn't come out. Gobbling like a maniac, tried creeping on him and got busted. Entertaining morning!

    Not where I hunt. I've had more luck in mid to late May with the big wary old birds than early. Once they're all henned up they'll follow the ladies to their Doom. So just piss the hens off by acting like a snotty uppity old hen.

    Not a single gobble, BUT! They're running silent mode again this year. This big fella was getting his swerve on, glad I bumped into him on the way out.

    I'm planning on a very very similar setup, except B14 HMR, 300 win mag. I'd love to hear about your experience with it I probably won't get to it until July or so.

    I just hate how there's like 6 bills a year now that I have to call and threaten to cancel to get down to a reasonable price. I couldn't go back to regular radio, ever. Jason Ellis show and Liquid Metal sell it for me.

    July and August are the worst. Followed closely by February and March. Not a huge fan of April, but at least it's time for turkey scouting. I hate the heat way more than the cold. I don't have an excuse NOT to jog in the damn heat.

    Ugh. I'm glad it's April. Need to restring then old girl anyway, it's in good shape but 6 years old. Like the new Glendel Buck though.

    I'm not 100% sold on my daughter sticking with the archery thing, not ready to plunk down 400 on a bow. Leaning more towards something on the lower end. Mostly because I'm feeling cheap after finding out how much to fix a dent/door handle on my truck (850). Annual membership meeting at 1pm today ADK.

    Yeah I don't think you'll find a better learner class for little ones any time soon. For all they did for them , plus a pizza party at the end, they certainly aren't making money on it.
