  1. I took a couple pictures this May, of probably the biggest coyote I've ever seen just standing on the side of the road Near Wayland, NY. It was blonde, beautiful and BIG!! .. Just stood there at 20 yards and let me snap pics from the car. My phone broke and I don't have the pics anymore.
  2. Yea don't be discouraged.. I'd say for a first plot ever and the time and effort put in.. you've done well man. But as grow stated earlier.. perennial white clovers grow slow.. should look mint next April.. just get the leaves out of it so it can grow bacl Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  3. When I get to work tomorrow I'll get the picture we got a few years back of a good busted up pedicle. Nice pic too lol Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  4. Heres one of the thousands of pics i got of him and his youngster ways throughout his life lol
  5. Depends on the deer. The older the deer in my experience, they seem to really avoid cameras. They always look very cautious and directly into the cams as they pass the one only time. They Get their pic taken once, they notice the cam and you wont get their pic again until you move it and catch them off gaurd. I try to hang em high and hide them now and point down. Also upgraded to (3) Black Flash cams this year and my (2) 8.5 yr old bucks have yet to notice them which is a plus! But it depend son deer, most doe and young bucks seem to not care, MOST. But the older they get, the wiser. Had a 5.5yr old few years back who loved the cam and would lick, pose and sniff it nearly everyday. I Wish more were like him!! lol
  6. I hinge cut multiple places leading into food plots or destination fields. I clear cut small pockets to promote natural growth. I tipped trees in certain directions to try and funnel deer movement. Planted to soft and hard mast trees in hopes to draw .. But my neighbors had some wood nearly clear cut the blast few years and the natural browse and deer traffic is un real.. the more research and experimenting I do .. I'm focusing more on natural browse and cover more than anything Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  7. I have done alot through the years and alot of it has helped, but i think the one that helps hunting the most is creating natural cover and natural browse! Especially when it comes to Mature bucks, they like the cover, and the available food that comes with it
  8. Jewel weed for sure. I asked the same question this summer to my habitat buddy. My deer love it as well!
  9. Yes, we have a couple wierd looking young bucks this year.. i wonder if there just not used to antlers on their heads and bang them against things.. accidentally or purposely.. Ive always wondered, cause you never see them look like this at 3 and 4 years of age.. I wonder if this one here is a doe with antlers.. Have had one here a few years back.. Ive got another this year, that looks identical to yours. Just cant seem to find the picture.
  10. Its might be the turnips you see popping, clovers take a little bit of time to sprout..
  11. A ton of coons at my place as well. Has been for years. Some Boone and Crocket coon critters too!!
  12. Wow, that is a bummer!! Even more so if it was the only good tree around. Sorry to hear.. This could only mean your new set will pay off big for you!
  13. No matter what the "rut" predictions are, id always go with around Nov. 5th - for the next 7 to 10 days... If vacation can be held off to see what the weather is like, id base it off the colder weather from there.. But for the last few years on good cold Mornings, Ive seen good mature buck Movement from Halloween on.. And my trail cams have proven more mid day big buck movement rather than early morning late afternoon during the rut..
  14. Man you can tell these beans plants are done growing. And putting there energy into the pods.. they are getting absolutely annihilated. I will have the fence up on at least 1 plot next year. For winter food. Rain is much needed .. my bean plots still only have small sprouts after being overseeded on the 7th of August. Last pic is the part if the bag that dumped on the ground as I filled the spreader. I chose to let thebkawn at camp grow and only mow it like once every 2 months and man there is serious deer sign in there! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  15. Ive got 2 hens and 9 poults that are in my bean plots daily. You can drive your vehicle and stop literally right next to them and they dont mind. But once the door opens or the window rolls down... They gone... Twice now driving the seasonal road up to my cabin a few weeks back in 1st gear in my car and they wouldnt get out of my way. I stopped as i began to pass them no more than 10ft away and they just stood there right out the drivers window.. Should have taken a pic. Watched them for a minute in park in th edriveway. I opened the door to get out and the took off lol
  16. Yea i dont like the extended forecast at all lol. I overseeded a soybean plot of mine on August 7th right before a quick storm. It was the last rain we've gotten here since this past Tuesdays 1" dump... The seed germinated from the 7ths rain, but just sat dormant until Tuesdays rain.. Its been dry since Mid July, I need the rains for my no till plantings lol. Now the seed finally up an inch or two. but needing more rain.. The ground is all cracked and split. 1 more good down pour would be nice! Next rain here looks like around the first of september-ish.. I would like to overseed a couple other plots with some cereal grains if we get a good enough rain. if not i dont know if ill have much for brassicas this year without more rain.. time will tell i guess..
  17. I have the low glow aggressor 14mp i believe, I picked up for 72$ on sale on the website. Have only pulled card once so far but its taken a lot of pics of great quality, minus some very bright pics around the dawn and dusk time frame. Other than that i am satisfied so far. I used to love bushnell until several cams by them died after a year or so.. Still not set on them. Debated on trading in some junk cams for another new or 2. I think it takes better pics than a couple of my new Brownings do. But the brownings are dependable no doubt!
  18. Got a couple good velvet peel pics last year, hoping for some more this year.
  19. Id do them separate and the forage oats closer in your favor for sure! The others imo are a waste, i bought them a few years ago when the local seed guy told me they were forage oats and they rotted out after a frost or two. Im going to try and find WW or triticale this weekend. or Forage oats all mixed.. Whatevers cheapest lol If my wife found out how much i spent on seed already this year... id be a dead man lol Another reason i forgot about to not like him anymore lol
  20. Hes got this buck picked out and saved for someone else Moog!!
  21. That would be cool! i try not to base it upon # of points. Age structure gets me excited lol. This 6pt of yours would probably make that list too! I like racks that are big with less points. id probably shoot one of them over a buck the same age and size with double the amount of points lol
  22. Why do you say this? lol I did just get my 3rd replacement warranty phone in 4 weeks, and Tapatalk is giving me troubles logging in for some reason.
  23. I just noticed this, freakin hilarious! lol good work!
