  1. I did that with rye last year, right into a hay pasture wth clover to spruce it up some.. Worked alright! throwing it into am last fall brassica plot, you should have good results i think!
  2. I have a twice used Headlamp Made by Elusive Wildlife Technologies named "The Kill Light" $60 +shipping or local meet
  3. Took some great photos.. but went from working perfectly fine to dead as a doornail after i turned it off. I wonder if its the weather change that kills them.. bringing them in from the real cold into a warm car/house.. wouldnt think so but its wierd.. Had a spypoint do it this year as well.. but spypoint replaced with zero questions
  4. dang, she must keep to herself? dang again.. My sister in law works the hospital and local family practice..
  5. Lol, I had one moultrie cam, one of the better ones my wife bought me for valentines day 2 years ago.. Worked flawless since day 1, it took many thousands of pictures.. I pulled the cam a month ago to dry it out for Spring.. Damn camera wont turn on now.. I was just about to praise Moultrie for finally making a decent cam... eff that. not anymore. It did take many many good pics in that time frame, so i cant complain there.. but it sure doesn't hold up like my brownings do.. Might have to try this!
  6. Called for less than an inch, we got 3"
  7. Got 2 bears last week on my cell cam as well. Cmon spring .. get these 2020 blues over with!
  8. Whos taking advantage of Mother nature (lol) and spreading seeds during these Freeze and Thaw time periods? And what seeds are you using? Im slinging some deer ag trophy clovers, Some local Ladinos, chicory and some Balansa clovers myself..
  9. Buckwheat is great. Especially in low AG areas. Deer will eat it, the soil benefits from it and it can be planted 2 or 3x in one growing season. I use it in summer soil building blends and occasionally in the fall blends for bowhunting locations.. I would shy away from monoculture plantings.. and they say it should not be used as a nurse crop due to it volunteering and re seeding.. but it all depends on your end goal..
  10. Theyve taught me a few things.. Deer and turkey both
  11. I did forget to mention they still had a quite a few handguns in the case at 3pm when i was there..
  12. Stopped into runnings yesterday in Canandaigua.. Just to check it out.. been awhile. They have limited the ammo purchases to 2 boxes a person. And are very thin on what's left on the shelves.. including guns.. pretty slim pickings! There was only a half a dozen maybe a dozen guns left tops..
  13. If its strictly for feeding purposes and they cant afford much for groceries. Im completely for it, If they have a bad background with a iffy side.. I may think different. I understand the hardships will come for some if not many people.. but some bring the hardship on themselves..
  14. I only checked field edges Sunday. these were all within 10 yards of field edges on 2 different fields. these fields were Hay and clover. I next will check the cover, and acorn flats, since There are a ton of acorns on the ground on all our properties.
  15. nice fellas! Am looking for a cheap 223 upper as we speak lol
  16. Found a couple on Sunday with my grandfather in law. Not bad for only a couple hours spent.. Found all on roughly a 25acre area total.. Both sets were laying side by side
  17. Im still putting together my AR10 in 243.. Not sure ill build another one of these. Not quite as simple as the 15 platform. And free time is not on my side these days.. Also, these builds are ridiculous, all i want to do is build another and another, then change this and that. its addicting and expensive lol. I dont even have the 243 ready to fire and Im already torn about going the 22creed route. stupid hobbies lol
  18. Thanks sir. It was tough decision! Lol jk. I had 3 deer that were becoming ancient that year.. they gave me the slip a few times before.. Passed up many many bucks waiting for them. that is all. Very happy with this buck, I would never say i'm not happy about my decision.. Especially to see my boys face when I got home with him! 2nd picture is the other buck who was older and much bigger bodied, and antler wise within a couple inches of one another.. #217 dressed 11/19/2006 I dont care for antler scores, especially stupid deductions lol. I care for their entertainment and company in my woods and on my wall
  19. Antler wise I believe this is my biggest.. rough green score of 135ish. 8 pt. Taken 11/7/15 by bow at 7 yards Not much of a story, When i first put eyes on him coming my direction quick, I knew what deer he was by his brows.. I Elected to pass him immediately, really wanting to give him 1 more year.... He came to the dug rd in front of my stand and stopped for a bit sniffing the deer trail that crossed it.. As i stared him over, while he just stood there using his sniffer, i forced myself to shoot him.. lol.. That year he was only the 4th or 5th best buck on the hill.. And I had my heart set on bucks 1 thru 3 lol.. But this 7yrd opportunity was too good to pass up, and i knew he was wall worthy regardless.. so i sent the Rage to the cage!
  20. I follow these fellas.. She sure looked healthy minus only having two legs.. pretty dog too. But man she had to be exhausted everyday lol
  21. Oh boy, He's gonna see how easy that P&Y action is to come by lol
