Sad, but it seems that is how business is done these days. Happened to my wife a few years ago too at Blue Shield of Northeastern NY. But she did find another job that she likes better and pays more. So it did work out well for us. I'm hoping the same for your wife as well. Hang in there and enjoy the holidays. For good people, karma has a way of smoothing the bumps of life.

So sad. Sorry Papist. -
I write this response with tears on my cheeks. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your Dad. Like you said, no one gets to pick how they exit this world. But your Dad must have lived a pure life to go on his own terms. With no pain, surround by his beloved sons and doing what he loved most. My deepest sympathy, prayers and condolences are with you and your family. He will always be there with you in your hearts.

Oh man I'm out of likes! Yup, that right there is cool beyond cool! By the looks of things, the person taking the picture was the snow leopards next meal! As the shepherd just smiles.

I have a bigfoot for a grandson! Twelve years old and his next pair of shoes will be size 15! Scary........

After sitting in ground blinds, trees, and rock bluffs. Deep in the woods for two and a half months. To think I could have just sat on a park bench in NYC and seen deer! Is pretty cool.

Ouch!.....lol

Best.......Alaskan moose back strap cutlets. Worst........Eel and rattlesnake cooked on a spit over a campfire. Like eating an innertube with bones.

Heck, even if there were three or four more guys to buy dinner for. With that buck you shot this year, you still got the better deal!!! Maybe phade and the boy's will go easy on ya and order sirlion's instead of filet's!!! And of course there is the bar bill to consder........yeah,...... you still are making out! That was one heck of a buck!!!

I've been to some pretty wild places in my lifetime. And will admit to the hair on my neck standing on end a few times. When hearing sounds in the night, many miles from the closest road. Always told myself that it was probably some kind of owl or night critter. But hey, ya never know!

After holding one of these beautiful displays in my hands. I can honestly say the the pictures just do not do justice to how nice they really are! The amazing craftsmanship, design , detail work, fit and finish is absolutely top notch! The brass of the shot shell beard holders and inlays, sets off this overall eye catching display perfectly . I highly recommend any turkey hunters out there, that would like to have an heirloom quality display. To contact maytom! Thank you again my friend. This is awesome! And I can't wait to start hunting turkeys with my grandson to fill it up!

Very cool pictures! Amazing how they pluck fish out of the water like that!

Mayby just maybe did you raise your head at the shot, to see her drop?

C'mon rob. I've hunted the Thatcher area for almost 45 years. That is a dark faze. I have only ever seen the light color faze, in this neck o' the woods! Also the only 30 pointers around here, is the final scores of the home high school basketball team. But 30 points on ONE side is quite common for the bucks here! Jeezz.....Don't go spreading false info!

Nice shot! And congrats on the fine table fare!!!

Well I got what I was looking for today. A nice big doe came trotting across the field right to me at about 40 yards. But loping along behind her was a small fawn. I centered the cross hairs on her shoulder. But never flipped the safty off. I've had a good season. Got meat in the freezer. She's bedded with her fawn tonight. I'm good with my decision. Give and take. A fitting way to end my season.- 7236 replies

A balmy 8 degrees here in the hilltowns. The frost heave is almost 6 inches in the woods. And it's like walking on a bag of potato chips with each step. Probably wait till first light to hunt my way in. At least that way I'll see what I scare up. Storm rolling in for this evening . Should be a good hunting day! Good luck to all venturing out! -

After an eventful mourning hunting with my grandson, him grunting and bleating a buck within 30 yards, twice with no deer down. It was pretty much the same for the afternoon hunt as well. My hunting buddy made a couple of small pushes to us from thick areas as we posted on the opposite field edges. And since I have no buck tag the only deer I could have shot were bucks!!! Three different small bucks and one big bodied and racked 8 pt. came across the field towards us at different times. A bunch of doe cut the inside corner of the other field edge moving too fast for a good shot. They just never popped out or slowed enough for a clean shot. Back out with my buddy again in the morning. Would never see this amount of bucks if I was looking to shoot one! Seems like that's the way it always works though.
