  1. Clear a spot on the wall. He's gonna look so good there! This is your year!
  2. I've been using Rocky boots for years with good results. Comfortable, warm and waterproof. Many styles to choose from too. And within your price range. They have served me well and I have no complaints.
  3. Using your way of thinking, you stand a good chance of jumping the wounded deer from it's bed and NOT recovering it. Each blood trail is different. Sometimes the best thing to do, if you are not SURE of the hit, is to just leave them until morning. I hope you don't have to rely on that "bloodglow" stuff to recover your deer.
  4. Way to go! Nice catchin is gonna make some good eatin! What did you catch em on?
  5. And I thought carrying a crossbow in the woods was awkward! Nice pic's though!
  6. As long as the hunt was legal I have no problem with it. Is it something I would do? No. Was the guy kinda goofy? Yeah. But I too have acted a bit goofy after recovering a hard hunted animal. Also, from what I saw, this bear died very shortly after being hit. Not hours later. In my opinion, Under Armor caved to the anti's propaganda machine and will no longer be on this hunters shopping list. You either promote hunting or you don't. Even under the best of conditions killing, is never pretty.
  7. Please know I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. If there is anything you need or anything I can do please don't hesitate to contact me. So very sorry for the loss of your wife and best friend.

  8. My deepest sympathy along with heartfelt prayers to you and your family. No more pain for her now, may she rest in peace.
  9. In my neck of the woods, back in the day. They just had to be anatomically correct to get the green light!
  10. Not long until retirement for me, and I'm seriously thinking about getting out. I have been looking at an area just north of Cedar Falls, Iowa in Bremer County.
  11. I remember a piece of scrap 2x4 wedged into the crotch of a pine tree. Don't remember any naps in that one.
  12. And yet, the same lawmakers keep getting voted into office. No hope in sight.......so sad. No one on a state level that I have voted for has been elected. So apparently, this is how the majority of people in this state prefer to live.
  13. This really sounds like an awesome event! I'm sure it will be informative and fun!
  14. That's pretty close to you rob! And I'm sure a ton of opportunities for shooting, bow and gun!

Sure wish that there was something like this back when I got started! Sounds like a great opportunity for all hunters to stop by and learn something new, share information and enjoy the company of other hunters and archers! Best of luck on what I'm sure will be an awesome event!
