I'll swap a private land 4-H buck hunt for a 4-H DMP.

Perhaps it's sorghum?

Looking good! Nice bucks!

I enjoy your video's. Doing anything with the family involved is great. Do you hunt too? Good stuff. Keep em coming!

I was there yesterday with my grandson. Probably the best store as far as variety in the Capitol region. But there is much better if you travel east or west an hour or two. Prices were ok for most stuff. Nice crossbow Greenhunter! Welcome to the club!

Absolutely awesome, what you are doing Jeremy! Way to go man! It will all come back to you and then some. Starting this deer season!

So good to hear a story like this. It appears that you are doing a fine job raising a responsible, hard working young man. Great choice with the 7mm-08 Axis! I have one and it shoots very well. Im sure it will serve him well!

Unfortunately, It's my turn to make this thread...

I wouldn't risk another stand being stolen. I would scatter a few well hidden cams in the area and see who shows up on them. Chances are good whoever you get pic's of in that area will be the scumbag that nipped your stand. -
They are all good glass, the ones you have listed. I have the Leupold VX 1 on my Savage 7mm/08 and I really like it! I've hit targets at the range out to 300 yards and I too like the classic look of this scope! It's very clear and I love Leupolds duplex retical.

Happy Birthday! Get out do something you enjoy!

Looks great so far! Good idea, and I'm sure it will work just fine!

Where is this place? That sure does look good!

He does look right at home. Maybe you should charge him rent!

Downy woodpeckers at hummingbird feeder
grampy replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in General Chit Chat
My wife just adores hummingbirds! She has me make sure the feeders are full, clean and numerous for "her" hummingbirds. Gotta say, I enjoy watching them too. -
Question about hunting with licensed tracking dogs in the Northern zone

Well said. I do agree with this. Good luck out there this year! -
Question about hunting with licensed tracking dogs in the Northern zone
grampy replied to Padre86's topic in General Hunting
The very last thing I think I may need when I go deer hunting, is a tracking dog. Through practice with my hunting implements, I have gained sufficient confidence in my abilities to get the job done efficiently enough on my own. Tracking dogs are to be used as a last resort only! After all other efforts have failed. -
I have had a Viper for a number of years now. Don't use it now as much as I did. But I have never once regretted purchasing it! Very stable, comfortable and quiet after setting up. I have no experience with the Muddy.

Love stuffed peppers! Peckers.......not so much.......lol

I finished up the biggest annual project at work today. So in celebration, it's venison tederloin and backstrap cutlets for dinner tonight! Garlic shells, snow peas and a cold Mic. Light!

Put multiple stands in place for the wind on a given day. On one of my "go to" spots, I have a stand set for a NW wind AND a South-SE wind.

Love those long brow tines! Nice pic's and best of luck this season!
-
Even with a crossbow, you still need to practice!

So cool to have history with certain animals. And then put your tag on them! Best of luck to you for doing just that, this season! Awesome buck!

That is terrible. Glad everyone is OK. A fire on board is about as bad as it gets.
