I did post how refreshing it is to have young ladies involved in hunting and fishing. And how cool it is she made the paper. But it got lost here somewhere.

Yeah, admin told us last week the site is making upgrades and could get a bit "wonky". I see some posts from yesterday have been lost. I'm sure everything will be back up to snuff in short order.

Earlier this year my wife calls me at work and says she was going to get the mail and see's a fox by our mailbox "acting weird " just across the road. I told her to call the local police right away to report a possible rabid animal. They showed up a short time later with an animal control guy and the fox was still there. They put the noose thing over its head and it was going nuts and they ended up discharging three shots . The cop tells my wife it was rabid as it was foaming at the mouth and showed no fear of humans. DEC came to take the dead fox away. So glad she saw it and knew something wasn't right. Haven't had anymore problems since but always ready for anything now while working or playing outside .

Bullhead fishing is great for kids of all ages! And one of the tastiest fish found anywhere. Sounds as if everyone had a great time! Way to go!

Naturally, because of the opportunities, more rural kids will get into hunting and shooting. It takes the hunting fire in the belly of urban kids and more resources to make it a reality for them. But if the drive is there and perhaps a mentor to help things along, any kid can make it happen. And become a darn good hunter - outdoorsman.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. But unfortunately I only see things getting worse.

I hope that you planted a seed with them, that will grow and bloom, as they get a bit older. You did good as a sitter! Given the opportunity most kids would have a great time doing all you did.

We are seeing more sets of twins than we have in quite some time. Perhaps because of the mild winter? And shooting a few coyotes over the winter may be helping a bit too. But for whatever reason, there seems to be a good crop of fawns this year in our area!

Two very nice bucks!! It's so nice that you have Dad's last buck to add to the memories of all your hunts together. I'm sure that he is very proud of that buck and that you now have it.
