  1. Hen of the woods and pasta... And i am impressed, the folks on this site sure eat well, damn.
  2. I was wondering what the first post was going to be,thank you for ending the suspense. I am all too familiar with the honey do list.
  3. just moved a stand today, and i like the view from there. Might be the one for an afternoon sit on opening day.
  4. sitting changes things a little,it is great you are practicing the real deal now. I hope a deer comes by you within 20 yds. I have not shot one farther than that yet,but i only got a handful so far.
  5. Here are some shots from just now out of the tree stand. Deer is 30yds,target is 35 and i had to lean around the tree a little. That obviously messed up my form a little. Two arrows each...
  6. wow, nice body and rack! I hope you two meet soon.
  7. Here are my first four of today,at about 41yds. I dropped my arm on the third shot, thats the low one. Other than that feeling ready for bow season,i am shooting well for my standards.
  8. That is what i do every year, and adkhunter nailed it. Don't expose the gun to big sudden temperature changes and the charge will be fine for weeks. I have a wolf and love how light it is and how little kickback it has. One shot is all that is needed.
  9. You are the only guy that posted a bad shot, big difference there...
  10. They have no flavour of their own...pretty boring shroom
  11. In germany the butchers are moving towards wood again,it stays cleaner than plastic. Those little cuts in the plastic are hiding spots and hard to clean.
  12. Aha,i was wondering why you weren't posting shot pics. I hope the shoulder will be alright, from what i hear it takes a while to heal up and it is painful as well. Best of luck buckmaster
  13. I am getting real antsy for opening day. I think i might sit in a stand at a valley bottom, transition area between evergreens and hardwoods, and it has some apple trees close by,also some grass. Unless i change my mind and sit somewhere else entirely...I want to try some new areas on the 300 acres i hunt.
  14. I would think one of the earliest does in heat might bring him out. My buddy saw a procession of nice bucks and one was at least 3.5 year old following the trail of a hot doe, that was late October last year. Of course they didn't quite come close enough...
  15. Yeah, that is a beauty. I hope he is still around. He looks real chunky...
  16. That's true, and i doubt i will shoot that far at one. But you never know...I think i might try to practice out to 50,haven't done much of that yet.
  17. Today's first shot at 36, a little to the left. It is getting harder to line the dots up at that distance,my eyes are not improving...
  18. The teeth are starting to go bad on bucks that age...amongst other things
  19. It was a mistake,i didn't mean to click on it...
  20. Ok,i will post two pics here,my post from the other day got lost in the sever madness.First picture is ground level shot at maybe 24yds,the fog messed with my range finder. The other is from today, got my tree stand hung in the backyard for practice, about 22 yds. Disregard the arrow in the butt,i actually aimed there... Ok,the pics are in the wrong order...
  21. haha,i was going to say the same. Animal rights hackers...Just for fun.
  22. It is good it conked out now and not 2 1/2 weeks from now....
  23. I am going to hang a tree stand this weekend 30' outside my front door. That will be my first shot setup from then on...
  24. I am not from there, but i do believe that it is quite spectacular...
