I know how you feel. I hunt either out my front or back door or one mile down the road. There is plenty of stateland around me,but i never seem to make it out there. -

already? hot dang, looks real good. -
I just went for a walk up there last gun season,it was kinda busy then, guys doing drives. I imagine bow season will be different. I was in one of the more northern parts, lots of trails and ponds there, looked pretty good to me.

So am i,in my imagination....

On what percentage of your hit deer do you achieve complete pass through?

Glad you got your bow fine tuned,it is kind of fun, isn't it? -
Somebody looks ready,great!!!
-
I tried twice and didn't manage to keep track,so i think i am giving up on it.
-
Take it easy Larry, don't over do it. Stick to your plan and shoot a deer or two with the bow, looks like you are close enough.

I went from muzzy 3 blade to montec g5 this year. Some of the muzzy's were a little wobbly.

First one at 34,nice cool morning,it feels like fall. Broadheads are flying good mikey is shooting good. Come on deer season...

Victory archery webpage has a good spine calculator, you can plug in weights..

this... I live in 4f and know the area pretty well. What are you looking for?

This was my first real check of the bow after i had the cam shimmed over on Friday. It worked!!! A broadhead, fieldpoint and barshaft at 21 yds.

That is the right attitude. The guy sounds like a total jerk,i guess being friendly is worth a try,but i wouldn't expect that to work. Get on the record with Law enforcement and keep your guard up. Don't let him mistake you being friendly for weakness. Some people are just nuts.

First shot with BH at about 30,close...

Buckmaster arranges his work life around hunting season. He has his priorities straight.

This thread has gone to shit, way to derail it,hahaha. My #1 is to be in the woods, get away from the "real" world stuff to the real world.

I want to get one of those,18-1 ,right? I just had my bottom cam shifted over yesterday and my rest put back parallel with the riser,i think that made everything on my bow closer to where things are supposed to be. Before the switch my rest was over to the left and arrow was pointing left but flying ok. Now things are humming...Broadheads and fieldpoints in sync,no wobbles. Pictures of my first shot later.

No such thing,is there?
-
Grampy,do you have a drop away rest on that bow? I had the same thing happen to me,shooting lights out with field points, but the BH lighted nock combo was all over the place. I kept turning my nocks a quarter turn and found the sweet spot. Now the BH fly nice and hit where i want. With a drop away it doesn't matter much where your fletchings are. I felt really bummed when my BH were all over the place. I was ready to screw with the rest and other things. Now i am happy again, dead on at 30.

nice ones!!! -
It only makes it worse,i am soooo ready for October. Waiting this last month is going to be very very hard. I guess i should work my butt off so i dont feel guilty taking time to sit in the woods. My firewood is almost done, just got to get half of it in my basement. Looking good on the checklist... And to make the wait worse, new episodes of the hunting public are starting now too. I have the itch bad enough as it is...

Wow,you get serious about the sides of the blind. Mine looks very airy now...but i should be ok if i dont move much. I would like to set up another by a friends old orchard, when the apples are abundant it is filthy with scrapes. There is no real good tree to set up in,so maybe a ground blind will be good.
-
I finally made a little brush blind in my overgrown apple orchard, been meaning to for years. I should be able to sneak into it from the road within 5 mins of leaving my front door. It is in the bottom of a high valley,so mornings should be good there. Then i went to the other property i hunt and made one there in a staging area by a hay field in an oak grove. I have no pics of that one yet. # from the ground maybe?
