  1. That is a dandy. It was worth the wait.
  2. You guys hear of those rhino gps things? They work anywhere and work as a radio as well, some of my buddies have some. You see where the other units are, they use them for drives in Adirondacks at their camp. I am way to cheap to buy one though. You also see property lines and owner info. But $300 or more are way over the line for me.
  3. We got 18 chicks a few months ago, they are pretty. We had chickens before but took a few years off. It is nice to have them again.
  4. if you plan to use the fireplace chimney you will most likely need to have a liner installled, the fireplace flue will be to big for a woodstove. The draft will be very poor if the flue is to big.
  5. I tried my lighted nocks today for the first time, and they don't change POI at all. I shot at 30 yds in the pic, then tried 40 and got the same results. I couldn't be more pleased. Oh,yes i could if it was October next Monday, haha.
  6. First round at 42,the practice is starting to pay off.
  7. I could set up in that hedge if he wants the bucks culled,or one of them at least. I would do it for free, just doing someone a favour.
  8. Having one tonight,crapyice bitch!!!!
  9. My first shot was one of the orange fletched ones, all at 40 yds. Wish they were all like the first two
  10. I saw two does while clearing some lanes for my climber a few weeks ago. They came to within 15 yds and my heart was pounding. I have not seen deer that close for 11 months.. I still get excited but try to stay calm for the shot. Afterwards is a different story...I hope to experience that several times this year.
  11. My first big buck would be nice...But i will be happy with some doe meat as well.
  12. Nice shooting guys, the deer are going there be in trouble soon...
  13. I wonder if the extra weight of the lighted nocks affects the arrow path of your bow is not quite in perfect tune. It shouldn't if it is because the extra weight is at the back of the arrow,so that has no effect on the spine of the arrow,it doesn't make it flex more when it shoots of the string, unlike a heavier tip does.
  14. How old do you think those two are? 2 1/2?
  15. Good advice. You are not supposed to adjust your grip when drawing or drawn back. I clip in my release, raise the bow and rest the bottom cam on my leg and get my hand onto the grip the way i am gonna shoot. Draw back and you are there.
  16. I got some the first time for this year,i cant wait to try them in the field. I have to look what brand mine are...
  17. I wonder who started the butchering, and who invaded whose territory.
  18. Robhuntandfish is right, lots of action there... Good luck with meeting the buck in person in 6 or so weeks.
  19. My answer is never. I am still hoping for that first big buck.
  20. I have a summit viper climbing stand, that thing is heavy!! I put a backpack frame on it so it becomes barely portable. 1 mile plus hikes are still terrible with it. I also have a ladder stand, convenient. I am gonna move that to a different spot this year. And also a couple hang ons with 4' ladder sections. I mix it up. I am thinking about getting a set of climbing sticks for a mobile set up and more choice in tree types i can get into.
  21. I also have a few spots i dont hunt much until the bucks are cruising. I tend to stay on the edges of the property i hunt,or close to the roads unless i have a sneaky way in and out of there so i don't alert any deer to my presence.
  22. I think i will have the headquarters outside of Cooperstown, real estate is much more reasonable outside the village limits.
