  1. You can have all the bells and whistles with a fixed mag.
  2. Bushmaster is owned by remington. Look into PSA uppers, I'm planning 5.56, 300 AAC, and .308 builds all either PSA or Ground Zero Precision. RIght now it looks like 16" barrel probably stainless fluted for the 5.56, and 18" for the 300 AAC and .308 might do 20" for the .308 haven't completely decided.
  3. That's the direction it seems to be going. Soon because a gun can fire some sort of dart it will considered a bow.
  4. I was around 10 when i started venturing out with my pellet gun walking the woods from my parents to my grandparents. I got the pellet gun for my 4th birthday.
  5. It's a joke of a show. I could do it and enjoy living off the land and would like to cut all ties to the grid. I would be one of the few cabins with running water, electric and heat not just from a wood stove. To do it right I would need a lump sum of cash close to 1 million. Buy the property and set aside taxes for my lifetime, build a sustainable cabin and then live off the land for the rest of my life. Only thing I would need is a couple reliable freezers and fridges.
  6. I have the bodyguard pistol .380 no laser. It's a great gun and super accurate. It's a double action pistol bobbed style hammer similar to a revolver but narrower and slightly shorter. I love the thing, it's perfect for shorts and t-shirt weather.
  7. Yup we have one here at work and it does it. If you have a good grip usually isn't too much of a problem when you tighten it down. If I bought new it would be Milwaukee, I have the porter cable and abuse them. The dril lasts about 2 years until the gearbox is shot. I drill 1/2" holes through steel more often than I probably should with it and it does a number on the plastic gear box. Usually strips out the gears. I have the hammer drill and they get old and slower but keep on ticking. Whatever you get make sure you get the larger mA batteries no matter what brand. My porter cable can only drive about 60 3" screws before it needs to be charged with the standard battery. The drill lasts depending on the size of the bit. The 1 1/4" speed bit kills it after 20 holes but I can get 100 1/4" holes.
  8. Watched one lose an antler last week, going to start watching for more then hit the woods for some shed hunting.
  9. My wife and I did the same in March, bought 40 acres with a 1500 sq. ft. house (which is now 3000 and the reason for my lack of hunting this past season). It is a great feeling watching deer go through the back of the yard looking to eat the tops of my seedling apple trees and blueberry bushes. I love every bit of having my own small piece of land enough for the family to hunt on without crowding each other.
  10. Been looking for Jimmy Hoffa but no luck yet. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  11. I don't own one but everything I have heard and read is to buy an Allison Duramax combo and never look back. The standard tranny in a 2500/3500 is good but if you are going to be hauling or towing a lot like over 80% of the time (like you say you do) the Allison is a must.
  12. No doubt, and with the Dems wanting to grant amnesty to all illegals will likely water down the Repub. vote and this crap will happen a lot more and we will have no clue about it. Look at the shady crap that Hillary and her Clinton foundation was involved in while under the Obama admin and we had no clue until people started digging. People hate Trump for what he does and says but I'll say he has been one of the better presidents we have had in awhile so far. No wishy washy crap just straight to the point and takes no shit from anyone.
  13. My buddy is a lefty and pays out the butt for guns in lefty. He was trying to build a lefty AR but decided against it because it was so much more for a lefty lower than the standard right handed lower. Same for his 700 ADL he bought it in lefty costing him $150 more than the righty.
  14. Consequences for what I mean Hillary got away with all the crap she did. Apparently if you have enough money or high enough in the government laws don't apply to you.
  15. We have Dom Bartucca from Empire Tree take down our junk trees. He's a good family friend, does good work, and a heck of a nice guy. He is surprised how many ash we have and not affected by any borer and the lack of sign in the area.
  16. Betting there is a lot less cam lean with that design. Is that button plastic or aluminum? If it is a plastic button that connects the single string to the double section that would scare me. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.
  17. My parents property has tons of ash but no sign of Ash Borer yet. This is in Wayne county North of Newark. I have been dropping the dead standing for firewood for the last couple years. Some of the Ash we have are 3' across at the base, with tons of hard maple similar in size. It is a sad thing but at least I can utilize the Ash and leave the other hardwoods. Our neighbor went and dropped a ton of live Ash and let it lay now is starting to rot, all of them were old timber in the 2' across range. Not sure what his intentions were but there is a lot he cut down and didn't do anything with it. Makes me sick as there was easily 30 cords or more worth of firewood and even worse they were straight as an arrow with no knots. Would have made great sawn wood.
  18. That's why you wear a hat to keep them from hitting you in the face. Think of it like rain hitting your hat or hood. haha
  19. I should add that I haven't moved it since I found it. I left it there as a marker if something were later discovered. When we bought our house it had been vacant for over a year. It had pot plants growing in a couple areas and some odd things found in the garage and in the house insulation when we did our remodel. The woods were littered with old cleaning material jugs, reptile aquarium, couple areas where the earth had been excavated by hand just behind the house. Just a lot of odd things. My guess is people knew it was vacant and used the property to grow pot and cook meth. There was a small cabin on the neighbors property up on the hill with some camp stove and stuff in it and the neighbors house is vacant.
  20. Lots of ash but lots of BTU's, I love burning Ash only 1 year to season and some of my dead standing is already 25% moisture content and only needs to be split and sits there for 3 months and is 20% ready to burn. Ash makes nice hot fires and if you load up with lots of smaller splits you can get yourself some really hot fires. Ash is also really nice to work with for woodworking. Has nice grain like oak but less oils and takes stain nicely.
  21. Yeah I was thinking that or Elm depending on the sapwood color. It wasn't a very big split so a younger dead tree. Might even be a beech with blight. I can't remember which it was but I had some Red Oak or was it Elm with some oval holes and tunnels like that under the bark. Most of the time it is carpenter ants, the Ash borer have mostly holes that go to the sapwood that they eat and ends up killing the tree. The Ash borer doesn't tunnel just under the bark. I would say that is ant damage as there are no holes going into the sapwood. http://www.emeraldashborer.info/
