  1. Best post I have seen in quite some time....congrats
  2. I don't use Tapatalk but have been getting this quite often:
  3. Dan It has been 7 months since we went through the same thing with our dog and she was to us like you describe your relationship with yours. Trust me when I say it doesn't get any easier. I miss her as much today as the day she passed and there will be a empty place in my heart for the rest of my life. I still think of her and look for her everyday as I am sure you will to. A dog like that can never be replaced. My condolences.
  4. A great guy for sure and I respect his opinion(s). What is so sad is it will probably cost him his livelihood. I have been there and done that and it isn't pleasant. Afterwards all you have left is the pride of knowing you did the right thing but that don't pay the bills. Sad state of affairs in this country.
  5. I wouldn't say we are back to normal. I had to go to Home Depot the other day and had to stand in line(6' apart) to get in. They were limiting customers to a 100 in the store at any one time. Should be interesting to see what develops as far as openings after this Friday (the 15th).
  6. "Pups" look pretty big for this time of year. Nice shots
  7. For someone that does it for a living 5-10k with edits. With approximately 5 months til hunting season maybe a go-fund me account??? Just a thought.
  8. I wouldn't exactly call it a movement. In seven years they haven't been able to meet the requirements needed to submit the convention application process. With less than 1% of the total population "signing" up I doubt it is anything we will see in our lifetime. Doesn't seem like they have accomplished much in almost seven years. "So are you making any progress? You better believe it! Since the Project launched in 2013, we’ve been spreading like wildfire. With over 3 million supporters nationwide, we have petition signers in every single state house district across America. We’re actively working in all fifty states to pass the Convention of States Application! Check out our latest stats below"
  9. Probably not as high as some of the down state percentages but they are the leading "upstate" county. I don't think the death toll should be the issue since each new case is a potential death and their cases have done nothing but increase over 22% since May1st. and 814% since April 1st.
  10. I wonder why...….it is only one of the hottest areas in the state. http://erieny.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/dd7f1c0c352e4192ab162a1dfadc58e1
  11. Hard to get exited about the Bills Sorry Bills fans
  12. Hunter007 Elite NY Hunter Members 2514 5790 posts Report post Posted October 13, 2019 Couldn't find anything stock to mount a red dot or scope on this new shotgun I bought didn't want to risk trying to drill or tape it . So I figured I try and make something to clamp on it . Came up with this started with some plastic that I heat formed to the shape of the gun then used .05 5052 aluminum bent it around a pipe that was the same diameter as plastic sandwich it together I used plastic on inside and a layer of black duck tape to keep it from scratching the gun .
  13. I am not a believer but wish you both the very best and hope things work out for both of you. It really sucks you can't be with her due to this this pandemic and we can only hope things turn around soon. Best of luck during this very frustrating time.
  14. I am not a big turkey hunter but the term "busting up the flock" is a method used primarily in the fall. If a flock of turkeys are discovered you scatter them by spooking them and then sit and wait because they will usually regroup as a flock to go on about their business. It is not a method used in the spring because as a rule they don't flock together as much as they do in the fall.
  15. Colorado joins a growing number of states recently implementing some sort of killing contest ban. Arizona, California and Massachusetts in recent years have banned predator and furbearer contests, and New Mexico and Vermont have specifically banned contests targeting coyotes, prairie dogs and other popular targets of killing contests are now protected from such forms of hunting thanks to action by the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission Thursday. The commission voted 8-3 to prohibit hunting contests targeting any furbearers — such as coyotes, foxes, raccoons and bobcats — as well as black-tailed, white-tailed and Gunnison’s prairie dogs, and Wyoming (Richardson’s) ground squirrels, effective June 30. https://www.gjsentinel.com/breaking/cpw-ends-contest-hunts-of-popular-targets/article_3d46c920-8b34-11ea-854c-171efb34b926.html

  19. NEWS FROM STATE PARKS May 1, 2020 State Parks Reminds Visitors That Social Distancing Measures Are In Effect The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (State Parks) reminds visitors that measures to reduce park density and maintain social distance are in effect. Visitors should be familiar with social distancing guidelines when visiting the outdoors and have an alternative plan ready if they arrive at a park that has reached capacity or appears crowded. State Parks has reduced the number of available parking spaces, and many parks will close to incoming traffic by noon. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed and may be towed. For the safety of all visitors, please wear a face covering when you cannot maintain social distance. Please recreate locally, practice social distancing, and use common sense to protect yourself and others. For further information on the status of State Parks facilities during the pandemic, visit: parks.ny.gov We appreciate your support and patience as we navigate this pandemic together. Thank you.
