UPDATE: I have just ordered the TEC G-Sport infrared grill. It should fit my purposes to a "T". I'm configuring the stand from my old grill for the new grill. Should be the "bugs nuts". LOL
-
I have a running post on this (see above) as I'm also searching. I will buy a USA made product and, very likely, either full IR or a hybrid unit.
-
Thanks for all of the replies gentlemen. I really would prefer to support USA jobs and products. The Weber's used to be USA made... but now they come out of China. Not good IMO. The prices on some of the grills I researched are crazy. Check out the Kalamazoo line! Geez Louise. Having an IR sizzle burner is fantastic for steaks. It's also important to me to be high quality and use 304 stainless rather than the cheaper 430 stainless. That's why I have concentrated on the "better" brands. Still looking for that perfect unit. LOL

I need to replace an aging Ducane gas grill. I have been researching USA made quality grills. The nice ones are REALLY expensive! I am not sure if I want straight IR or some sort of hybrid IR plus conventional. The TEC line is great, straight IR grills with cutting edge designs. They are expensive though. For a hybrid, I'm kind of liking Lynx grills. I have also researched Fire Magic, AOG, Lazyman, Wilmington, Alfresco and Kalamazoo. The Napoleon brand is cheaper but not USA made (it's made in Canada which is ok I guess). Anybody have any input? BTW, don't say Weber Genesis... it's now made in China!!!

Very nice! Too bad the artist passed.

LOL, winter was tough down here this year. We had one frost and countless days in the 80's. Works for me!

Vortex has some great choices. Also, get on SWFA and check out their Samplelist stuff (trade-ins, demos, discontinued models, etc.) .

Last year I just used the X-bow for the last two weeks of archery season. Worked ok... but all season long would sure be nice.

Doc says no more vertical bow use for me. I am selling off stuff related to that. The bows are gone, so too is a hard case, press, etc. I do have the following (if anyone is interested): 1) Hoyt Super Slam XX78 aluminum arrows. Straightness to .001". These are cut to 29" and fletched with 4" vanes. The nocks and inserts are installed. Some arrows are brand new (6) while some have been used slightly (10). I have a total of 16 arrows. Sell for $48.00 for all. 2). Easton ACC 3/39 arrows. Fletched with 3" vanes with inserts and nocks. These are cut to 23". I have 10 of these that are all slightly used. Sell for $30.00 for all. 3). Thunderhead 100 BH's. I have 15 of these (some slightly used) and will sell for $50.00 for all. 4). Thunderhead 85 BH's. I have 10 of these (some slightly used) and will sell for $30.00 for all. PRICES ABOVE DO NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING CHARGES. I CAN (at time of shipping) provide actual cost.

Typical NYS... BS! -
Got my first sighting on trail cam this past fall (8T).

I live in Florida but migrate north to Steuben every fall.

Awesome. That is why good taxidermy is expensive... and worth every penny. Congrats.

Seems old Pocahantus got slapped down last night in the Senate. Violated a rule and was told to take her seat. Loved it... priceless moment!

One spot left in my gun safe
bugsNbows replied to Tughill Tamer's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Just sold mine (like that) about two weeks ago. It hadn't been shot in years (since Steuben went rifle). Never had any issues with it what-so-ever!. Congrats. -
Nice song... nice post. Thanks.
-
Precisely why I moved years ago. NYS has so many BS regulations and taxes it's puke-worthy.

Man after my heart... I love single shots. I currently only have three though (a Win 1885 low wall in .243, Ruger 1S in .300 H&H mag, and a Dakota 10 in .257 Roberts). I previously had more Ruger #1's, a Browning B78 and a H&R. Henry is coming out with one in May, I shot (and nearly bought) a EABCO 97D and I have been drooling (lately) over a Merkel K3 Stutzen. Ya never know what may follow me home.
