My advanced training was in Entomology but… I concentrated in termite taxonomy, turf and ornamental insects and household critters. Note… although there are several species of “stinging” caterpillars, these do not appear to have urticating spines. Handling may invoke dermatitis in some individuals.

Interesting that they would be appearing now… in February. I do not know exactly what it is… there are literally thousands of species. You could grab up a few and send them over to Cornell.

We hit 58* today. The golfers were out. There has been some cold, rainy nasty weather this winter though. But, compacting our weather to NYS is, IMO a no brainer.
