  1. whew! yeah that would leave ya shaking a bit. Glad all was ok two years ago out turkey hunting a monster tree went down about 80 yards from me. Could feel the ground shake it was huge scared the crap outa me and i wasnt that close. But thought what if i was sitting over there......
  2. im taking out $10 for having to read all the posts about the PA chart ! lol Maybe you should also take up a fund for a dehydrator since the water in the meat is now deemed useless.
  3. Back strap, mushrooms and asparagus with a little parm on it.
  4. Congrats on the payoff of all the hard work. Enjoy The American dream
  5. cant wait to get back out with the muzzy. I havent ever gotten a muzzleloader deer so hoping to get it done. Two additional spots open back up for me that i cant gun hunt but can bow or muzzle hunt there. And the one has standing corn still and I took both of my deer there in bow. The other i can hunt xbow there late season. So i am ready! Prob try some afternoon hunts there and mornings on the lease.
  6. ive got an AG field i hunt and it is a square plot but it also is on a slope . The longest of the field goes up pretty sharp from the road then at the peak of the hill it drops a bit the other way. Just enough so that deer cant be seen til you cross the peak of the hill. And thats always were you find them. I have to be careful gettign in there and peak over the hill first when its beans or clover, then if its corn sneak all the way around. But both deer i got this year came from that spot. So elevation changes also can be a factor for security. I dont have any control over food plots as its all farmland but this sure helps me out. but anything G man said above for doing it yourself and making setups!!!!!
  7. Exact same load here. 777 2 pellets and 245 grain power belt for a Thompson center impact.
  8. Does the Bushnell shotgun scope have the circle X reticle?
  9. Lol. Yeah glad the last week of bow was such a good one. Was a tough season til then. Saw two big bucks on opening day of gun but never had a shot and never saw a deer since. It ain't over, smoke pole on deck!
  10. You just gave me a memory of my Dad. He used to make this every winter.
  11. Well I get the safety award for gun season. Never took it off alll season. 21 days without an incident.
  12. Interesting. Yeah never realized that. Can't remember a gun season of all snow. Sure was the worst fall weather I've ever seen. Bow was a rainy mess.
  13. The neighbors did shoot, as I was headed to the woods. Lol. We saw nothing. Not even a fresh track
  14. Were representing 7F in cny! Headed out too. Good luck hope you keep the streak alive and drop one! My buddies birthday and gonna do a push on the lease and see if something drops.
  15. Pristine silence and postcard snow.... hopefully interrupted by a round of gunfire!
  16. Great minds . Made these for the GF and I last night. Topped with mushrooms and cheddar.
  17. Neither me nor my buddy saw a deer or even a track. We both saw two yotes just couldn't get cross hairs on em. Tomorrow is his birthday so putting on a push hoping he has some luck. I'm going back out in a bit for a sit. Damn cold for sure.
