Free pass from significant other . Who ?

Megan Fox But the GF can stay too. . So she doesn't have to be jealous. -
You def made the best out of the worst. Hopefully some of that will stick with the kid . When bad things happen it tends to show who people really are. And a body shop could have made that into a $1000 claim lol.

Beat of luck, hope all works out ok. Get better. -
Thanks Grampy, Was just talking with my hunting buddy and we are going to get a tow behind mower for his 4 wheeler next spring. Am gonna try to find a good used one for around $1000 we are hoping. I was thinking even a trail or finishing mower should be able to get thru the grass we want to cut. Cause doing this by hand with this push weedeater is just too much. The weedeater works great but not made for stuff like this. And there is a lot more we would like to do.

Cut some high grass near a scrape that gets a lot of action every year, and we have a stand at 40 yards. Grass there is about 5 ft tall. This place is so brushy if the owner didn't cut these lanes it would be unhuntable. Pulled a couple of cams while I was there and no stunners but one small buck , lots of does. Usually don't see a lot of buck pics til fall anyway. First pic of kill box Second pic trail we hunt Third pic is this whole place is like this can't even walk thru it. But they def go thru it. Season is coming. That will be my last trip over there til hunt season. Reset cams and new cards.

I'd it's taller than a yote, gotta be a bear. Or possibly a yote just caught the right light angle to show up so dark.
-
Meow? Hard to tell size. But maybe a local cat? If it's bigger then would def say bear.

Biggest I ever saw was 240. I had seen this buck several times in fields and the body was just huge. It was a 9 point. Guy got it down the road and weighed and took a pic it said 240. And I believed it. This buck had a damn double chin. Lol.

Think you just came up with a name for that buck Biz.....Archie! We have only ever named a couple when they have earned it. Sounds like your "Arch enemy" earned it for a nameplate on the mount! Good luck

One with def hold. My fear is if that one gets chewed or damaged. Always want a backup. Twice have gone up stands to find the strap all chewed and barely together. And once found the ratchet part smashed cause a big limb fell and hit it. One will hold it for sure but the second makes it a just in case. And for $4 def worth it if the first one fails for some reason.
-
Yeah I also hook one to the standing grate. Have seen where squirrels have chewed the top one and you don't know til your up there. So I like another one in a different spot as a backup. I hook it to the back of the grate on each side on the rim. Also like others said. Don't bother with that string on the brace either . I ratchet that right to the tree to. If you put a strap in the middle just be careful not to over tighten it. Or your pulling in the ladder in the middle and the ladder will ot be straight to take weight on it. My usual setup is at least one at the top often 2 (casue I will use the cheap one they give you and add another), one on the footplate, both long straps for setup wrapped around the tree and tied, then one for the stabilizer bar. And before I ratchet anything I stand on the bottom ladder at try to push it into the ground some. They are good and solid for sure. I'm not a small guy and the stands don't move when I am getting in them. I wrap the ratchet line around the Y on the stabilizer and then put the hooks of the ratchet together and then tighten it right to the tree as well.

We had this same problem on our lease . Great spot for a stand but wide open. We dropped it to a 9 ft stand and it was then not skylined and it was way better. We also brushed it in with some branches and it's been a killer spot since
