Gun rally caused $60K damage to NY Capitol lawn

Wow, this is just unreal. I wonder how much the Occupy Movement repairs cost. Just another piece to make gun owners look bad

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — State officials say it will cost tens of thousands of dollars to repair damage to the grass in a downtown Albany park where opponents of New York’s gun-control law held a large rally outside the Capitol.

Office of General Services spokeswoman Heather Groll says Tuesday that it will cost an estimated $60,000 to replace the grass in West Capitol Park, including $30,000 for materials and another $30,000 for labor.

More than 5,000 opponents of the state’s new gun-control law held a rally in the park on Feb. 28. Rain and sleet on the day of the rally helped turn the lawn into a muddy mess. Groll says repair work has begun and the area is blocked off. New sod is expected to be put down later this month.

Sod? REALLY no wounder why we are always in debt. Over paid and dumb as hell. Ask any hillbilly and they can get it fixed for little or nothing. Prisoners for labor, grass seed and to make it look pretty for the General Service some straw on top it. No $60,000.00. Wake up NY

The local channel in Buffalo ch 4 played it, and I thought to myself....don't they have something else important to show for news? Everything they show pertaining to guns or gun owners is negative, and the newscasters that report it show their bias against guns and gunowners in their voice and attitude. Leave the gun owners alone and report some news thats important.

Install asphalt. They need a larger parking lot for all the extra government  added over the last few years.
