*** Update, this deer is being passed off as a NY hunted deer. However, the guys below clearly showed through some searching and detective work it was a High Fence Hunt at a place in New Jersey, pics here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.542246269189161.1073741831.288975444516246&type=3 - This is the same deer.

Again, I do not want to take anything away from anyone. If this is legit, this guy deserves a big congrats. If this is a preserve deer, then shame on whoever it was that sent it in to outdoor life.

Like I said I hope I'm wrong, but from what I've been reading it looks doubtful. The deer's face looks real young too. Too young for that body, just my opinion.

what a loser....hunting a preserve then pawning it off! nothing wrong with shooting deer in a pen if that floats ur boat but no need to lie!!!

Agree. Personally, fenced in hunts do nothing for me. Why anyone would pay thousands of dollars to shoot a monster deer that pretty much counts for nothing is beyond me. Takes the entire sport and fun out of getting whatever deer you harvest.

However, whatever anyone wants to do with there money is up to them. Just don't try to be a sneak about it.

There is absolutely no doubt that the Facebook buck and the dead buck are one and the same. Look at the split g2 on the right side of the FB pic and the picture of the deer hanging. Had me going for a second... I still don't get why someone would shoot a captive animal for sport?
