papabear
THE LAST PLACE I LOOKED I lost my keys and spent about 45 minuets looking for them. I finally found them and my wife makes the usual comment about them being in the last place that I looked and I thought to my self of course it was in the last place I looked I found them why would I look any further and I started thinking about it If I looked in one room or ten rooms when I found the keys that is the last place I would look as I stopped looking if I Looked and found them in the first place I looked would it not also be the last place I looked as I already found them why look any further so when you find some thing is it not your last place that you looked for it thanks for the rant Bill [papabear]

Elmo
When I lose something I usually find it in the last place I left it. Unless the wife moves it. Often times, I just leave my clothes on the couch or bed. Wife will then go and hang them in the closet. I go back and forth from the bed room and the living room looking for it. I of course never check the closet or dresser.

Elmo
I once looked all over the place for a pair of sunglasses that I had propped on top of my head.
ants
I got married. I have a personal "finder." LOL. Its ridiculous, I can lose something and she knows right where it is. You have a personal "finder" I have a personal "hider". If something is in her way my wife will take it, from a place I have been leaving it for YEARS, and put it somewhere that I would never think to look. Not long ago I couldn't find my keys and she wasn't home so I had to use my spare set. I have always kept my keys on the end of the kitchen counter. Turns out that after 20 years, she didn't like that spot anymore so she moved them upstairs to my top dresser drawer. Who the hell keeps their car keys in an upstairs bedroom drawer???!!! Sorry for the rant.

Elmo
I think that's how they trap you. They keep hiding our stuff so that we'll need them to find it.
hunter49
I think they move stuff just to drive us crazy! I came home from work once to find out she organized my work bench , I couldn't find half my tools for a month! I (nicely) lol told her to stay out of my barn! If I lay a book down to go to the john its put away when I come back to it. lol

Two Track
The spare car key is now my car key. Wife needed to use my car 4 months ago - someone blocked her in. Left my keys on the night table a usual and told where they were and jumped I the shower. Took the Jeep to work since she had the car. Of course next day want to take the car and no keys. Now she says she used her set and not mine. My keys are missing. Happens to be the only set with the remote for the doors that is missing. Went to get a copy made and find out that they are micro-chipped keys and cost about $100. Of course she has 4 pocketbooks/bags that she uses and switches between. Swears she does not have the keys in any of them. Meanwhile I have moved the bed, night table, checked night table drawer, checked my slippers, emptied laptop bag, checked my jackets 2 twice and searched the entire car. The only thing I can come up with is the dog ate them.
Two Track
My dad does not usual lose things. He drop his truck keys help a friend in his 1 acre garden. Gets a ride home to pick up spare set. He purchases a metal detector to find them in the garden - no keys found. He packs up the metal detector and chats awhile with his friend. Heads back to the truck and see his original set laying on the lawn. At least he got a new toy out of the deal to explore the beach.

ants
A few years back I was giving my wife a ton of crap for losing the only set of her keys that had the car started fob on it. It was about this time of year. About 8 months later (around Nov. & Dec.) I was in the garage getting ready to snow blow the driveway, for the first time. I put on my old duck hunting parka, stuck my hand in the pocket and there were the keys. I suddenly remembered wearing that coat the last time I did the driveway, some 8 months ago, when I had to move her car out of the way. I put the keys in a place where I knew she would find them, but not too easily. She did. Edited March 21, 2014 by ants

Vince1
If I cant find something I destroy everything looking for it. I tear one room apart literally one item at a time no matter how small then throw it in the other room till the first room is for the most part empty then move furniture and then if I cant find it I move to the next room and toss the stuff in the cleared room my wife does her best to find it before NOT finding the simplest thing bothers me. half the time she is the one who moved it in the first place.
