raw fries are 1/8 " sliced rounds of potato fried until Brown and tender, I just added the leeks half way through for extra flavor instead of onions.

Google them there is a lot.

I could be wrong but I think a Michigan is a tomato base sauce this is more of a meat sauce. Regardless these used to be a staple back in the day but not so much anymore 

No tomato base in Michigans. Meat and kick throw some yellow mustard on and bam
