A lunch buffet at the Phelps Hotel for my Mom's 80th birthday today with about 35 friends and family. Sorry, no food pics, but everything was excellent. Crab cakes, stuffed chicken tenders, quesadillas, little roast beef sandwiches with every kind of topping & insert  imaginable, an ossobucca-style pizza, too much to mention. No one left hungry. An enjoyable afternoon. And my Mom, who rarely says a word about these things, stood up and said that she is officially as old as dirt. I had tears in my eyes. God bless you Mom!.

Baby Plav’s daycare is shut down for 2 weeks because of Covid so I got a rare Thursday off to hang with him.  We checked trail cams and cooked.  I almost feel guilty posting this one.  Red wine braise

Wife and I went to Raindancer Restaurant in Amsterdam NY last night . She had a Filet Mignon and I had the Prime Rib !

Holy cow. We ate at the raindancer many years ago while on a trip based on local suggestion. Man that place did not disappoint. Thanks for bringing up some good memories.
