DirtTime
I know the hunting season is upon us, but so is the football season. Any Bills fans with predictions? What do you think about the blackout lift?
G-Man
Glad they lift it, o-line is more important than qb, if they can protect 4 to 5 seconds our average qb will look amazing, let cassel start while the o line develops. Let the young guys develop, remember these qb are going against a top 3 defence in practice every day, can't wait to see them against lesser defence in preseason. fasteddie
Just don't revert to the Ancient Bills with the old run , run , pass, and punt ! Let's hope Matt Cassel shows up as I have no faith in EJ ............
DirtTime
Cassel is OK at best. Nothing overly impressive in him. But, he does have experience to pass along. EJ? Still looking like Fitzpatrick. Orton did a good job last year getting the Bills a winning record and just missing the playoffs. They let him go. EJ was doing w/e ever they do on IR. He's always hurt. Will be an interesting season for sure! Edited August 14, 2015 by ....rob
nyslowhand
Bless you Bills fans!! No other NFL fan has gone thru as much heart break over the decades, including the Kelly era super bowl appearances. Having been a huge fan from the Ferguson thru Kelly era, it just got to be too much heart break for me. Hope they make me eat my words, but being a small market team they may never get to their 1990s level of play again.

No team can out spend another team.
fasteddie
Well Ralph was cheap and didn't spend a lot on players . Terry Pegula has opened his wallet and brought in some hopeful players . What I can't understand is Marshawn Lynch ( The Beast ) didn't do so well with the Bills but is thriving in Seattle . I guess he was only in Buffalo because he had to be and didn't want to get fined !
fasteddie
Orton was retired and the Bills got him to play another year . I think he was enjoying retirement and wanted his health during that time . I would like to have seen him playing with this new group ! grampy
I'm a HUGE Panthers fan, so I'm hoping for a different outcome than most of you tonight! Good luck to all NFL fans and their teams this year!
Merlot
I'm hoping for a uneventful preseason...that is no significant injuries, Cassell becomes a decent field general, they show nothing, go 0-4, and turn it on when real bullets fly...Hope i wasn't too violent about the bullet thing... Don't miss Marshawn. Turned out to be a decent player, but alot of baggage with that guy. EJ looks to be a bust, unless that linebacker that punched the Jet qb knocks some sense into him...Just kiddin'

Steuben Jerry
HUGE Bills fan for many, many years here! That said, I've learned to enjoy this time of year the best. Hopes are high, and the annual disappointments haven't happened yet. This year feels way different though, and it reminds me of the Kelly signing in '86. Rex is boisterous but confident, and the last few coaches were stiffs. Pegula is not afraid to spend money, and they've got a top tier defense. The McCoy signing, Watkins in his sophomore year, Charles Clay for TE - I'm psyched for 2015! Oh yeah, there's that pesky QB situation to sort out. The bad? I live in the southern tier, and the dang Giants game is being televised tonight. Gotta figure out the online method of viewing!

DirtTime
The bad? I live in the southern tier, and the dang Giants game is being televised tonight. Gotta figure out the online method of viewing! Same here in Upstate. Kind of irritating having to watch teams that don't even play in the state. I was hoping that blackout lift would have changed that, guess not. Bills had some spark last year and got the engine running. Now it's time to put it in gear and go. Offense has the talent in WR and Backs, line might need tweaking, and the QB situation is nothing more them a mess right now. Defense is great.
