HA! We didn't get any snow for about the first storm this year. Sorry to those that did get it this time... ;D

Almost a Foot last night,we have gotten so much snow It did'nt faze me at all.I heard we have another storm on tap for next week.

Got 20" here last night on LI.  I also heard we're getting more next week as well as maybe this weekend.  :'(

They say Saturday we could get up to 3in, thats no sweat next weeks storm might be more.People are just starting to get around in Queens and its 3;45.Anymore snow well be trouble.

I just hope such a harsh winter doesnt have a negative effect on deer and turkey populations.

From what I understand Orange and Sullivan Counties have much less snow then we do.We seem to be getting most of every storm.The deer and turkey deal with this mess better then most people I know  LOL.

Are you fellas in for it down there like I am up here? Nothing like a two day storm... :  They are calling for over a foot by the end of it in my area.

i havnt followed what this new storm is going to do but they are saying a foot?

Up here they are saying 3-6 Tuesday and over a foot Wednesday, with a mix south. So you guys may get a crap sandwhich out of this one. I would rather have just snow, which is usually the case at my house. It sounds like it will be the heavy wet stuff, weeeeee!

Supposed to get a couple of inches tomorrow and then a foot or more Tuesday night and Wednesday around here. Its starting to get tough to get into the areas I want to go for predator hunting. Ill have to get snow shoes for next year lol.

I feel bad for my dog, he doesn't run so good in two feet of snow, haha. I snowblow a spot in the yard for him but we can't get out hunting so good anymore.

Snow shoes are great by the way, my wife and son also have them so we can get out to get some air and exercise. I haven't had to use them for hunting yet but beleive me I would if need be.

I hear ya on the dog thing, we have a Chihuahua that wont go in the snow if its deeper than a couple of inches. I have to shovel a spot out back off of the steps for her. Friggin ankle biter.  ;D

On LI we have no place to put any more snow! Getting 4-6 inces of snow tomorrow and a 1/2 inch of ice. This one is going to be real bad. I take the LIRR into Manhattan and it has sucked this year. Once that third rail ices up your screwed. Spent 5 hrs stranded one day because of this. Wednesday will be a WFH day.

I was thinking of getting some kind of torch and maybe try melting some of this mess.If we get any more we have no where to put it.

At least I don't have to worry about that up here, I still don't want any more though. You guys can have the rest of the season off from snow, you have earned it!

I wish it was that easy, we are all screwed this year..hahaha

Well, I'm not going to brag about how little snow we've had this year, or make a big thing about the fact that I have not yet had to plow the driveway even once. But so far, this is one of the better winters that I have ever had. There are heavy snowfall totals all around me but up to this point, the lake effect snow plumes from both Ontario and Erie have missed me.

I hope I haven't jinxed myself now ???

Yup ..... I knew I would screw everything up. Ever since I posted the above message, we have been plagued with one storm after another. It seems like I am living on the back of my ATV, trying to keep ahead of the snow build-up. Now I'm starting to get into the situation of no place to put the darn stuff. Coming into the new year, we had the best winter going that we have had in years until I went and messed it up by bragging.

Happens every time Doc....I just got done bragging a couple months ago how my washer and dryer had lasted us 20 years....yup....you guessed it...both went down within 2 weeks :'(
