Skillet
First shot of the day in Naples: 6:59. Volley of 4. Calm walk in. The leaves are drying out, so it was a little bit noisy. Edited December 5, 2015 by Skillet
nodeerhere
So I've always been told turkey don't gobble in the fall. I've been hunting along time and can say I really never heard one so I just figured it was true. But I swear I hear a turkey gobbling away this morning. HFBPA889
Congrats !! How far she travel with that hit a little high and back ? She'll be great eating . When I shot her she was quartering away from me. The round exited just behind her opposite shoulder. Went through both lungs and heart. She did a 50 yd death sprint and bulldozed the field as she fell hard. Surprised she went that far!

HFBPA889
I've heard more shots this morning than any other day. Ten or more shots before 7...yikes! Maybe geese hunters. So far quiet were I am, bumped a few coming in and they decided to blow the smithereens out of me with snorts.

growalot
So far quiet were I am, bumped a few coming in and they decided to blow the smithereens out of me with snorts. I can't say enough how using the grunt tube and doing soft grunts every few steps has helped me keep the deer in the area when that happens..that and if you are really close to your stand/blind a few short doe bleats...they most times than not, come right back...

growalot
But I swear I hear a turkey gobbling away this morning. I've mentioned a few times turkey at camp gobble all year...and a lot during gun season...Here at the house...never...lucky if they gobble during turkey season...usually it's the end of March to the first week of May... burmjohn
What kind of animal sounds like rabbit getting about to die. Because it spooked the deer and was so loud. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
