Lots of rubs found today, no big trees but there torn up

Sat on hay legume seeding and wheat; about a 18 acre view.  All deer were done moving in the open by 7 am.. Went into the maple ridge stand, their they were, feeding on falling leaves. Can't blame it on the showers, as they moved here last evening. No wind.  Must be the mild temps..

One of our fine inventors did come up with a collapsible blow gun . Problem is , he swallowed the dart when he inhaled and never got it to the market !

I heard because it was still in the trial stages that he put the wrong end up to his lips .

I said the same about squirrels on last nites sit...so I dug out my sling shot....I have to tell you it works slick and helps to keep my should from stiffening up on me...

Go to the dollar store and buy a big bag of marbles . Great slingshot ammo

Love them grey fox. Amazing how much catlike they are compared to a red. Caught one napping in a low lying branch of an apple tree many years ago.

I got the big guy on cam last night in the acorns. I am not going near the woods again till we get a run of colder weather. Even checking cams had me sweating like a hog today.

Changing it up tonight, found a pile of brush that had a spot in the middle to sit. Brought a bucket and gonna see what happens. Haven't hunted this area in a couple of years. Have a bedding get area butting up to an oak Grove full of acorns.

Slipped into a new stand my brother put up out back. Holy cow is it high! I think I need a special permit to be at this altitude! It's in a creek bottom so it goes up in front and behind so the shots aren't too steep. A little out of my comfort zone. I don't think I'll sit this one again unless a real hoss is using this single spot!
