Pygmy
My house is right on Rt 417 in Steuben County and the road is busy today.. Seems like every other vehicle is a 4WD towing a trailer full of coolers and ATVs... Gotta love opening weekend...This is the most excitement my little town sees all year... Good luck to you all and be CAREFUL out there..!
WNYBuckHunter
I saw a bunch of campers and ATVs on trailers rolling around the roads this morning on my way to work. Mostly headed South. The next few weeks are what many towns in the Southern Tier depend on to survive. Good luck and be safe!
Jeremy K
Plenty of time before the season opens to make sure theirs guns are still dialed in.

Only one bar left in town...They'll be busy tonite, along with the juice bar up the road.....<<grin>>....
genesee_mohican
Same here with all the pick ups, trailers, with ATV's campers rolling in. I always get reved up on the opening eve of gun season.

BizCT
Exciting time for sure. I am heading to camp (my parents house) tonight around 8pm. I'll be leaving Westchester County and making the long 6-7 mile drive trek to Putnam County. Hoping to be there before 8:10pm.
monkeyman2269
I don't really see why people make fun of people making sure there gun is still dialed in last day. Would u rather them just buy a rifle with a scope and just go into the woods
jmg343
I am never getting out of this God forsaken office. I want to get home and get on the road North. Im losing it over here!
fasteddie
I remember when the gun opener used to be on a Monday . A lot of small business' thrived as guys would head to camp on a Friday night or Saturday morning and spend money in the grocery stores , restaurants , motels , etc .. The Saturday opener killed that !
