Dom
What kind of beer/ale do you prefer for cooking?I was going to try and make some beer bread and not sure what tastes better or works better for baking.I drink Budweiser is this ok or should I get some IPA's to cook with
turkeyfeathers
I'm a beer snob. Bud will be fine for beer bread. Or any other adjunct lager. Dark stouts for meats and stews Just made smoked Gouda beer cheese soup with IPA Lager for chili and beer can chicken
The_Real_TCIII
Whatever you choose make sure you drink one per every half that goes in the pot. That's just good common sense
DirtTime
Beer is for drinking while you BBQ and cook. What brand you choose is up to you. But, if you have to waste beer and burn off the alcohol then follow turkeyfeathers guide.

Pygmy
I am a beer snob also..I only drink COLD... Unless I can't get cold, then I'll settle for COOL... Unless I can't get cool, then I'll settle for AMBIENT TEMP... Unless I can't get ambient temp, then I'll settle for PISS WARM... I draw the line at HOT, however...After all, I AM fussy about what beer I drink...

I actually had no idea who she was or that she was a porn star. I thought she was just some slut looking for attention at the hotel pool in South Beach. A few hours later I found it who she was. wolc123
To drink, I prefer Genny "cream ale" for lunch, "light" for supper, and "12-horse" for special occasions. For cooking, plain "red-label" Genny. By pure coincidence, I just posted this picture on another thread in the taxidermy section, but you can see the tap-handles for three of them on the front the "Beer-fridge" behind our bar.
