Who's driving around with one in their car or a family members?

 

Would you buy a used car for a family member if it had a Takata Air Bag?

 

There's millions of them out there and they are STILL putting them in new cars.  It'll take forever to get them all pulled and replaced in the existing applications.

Driving at least one maybe 2 vehicles with them. Should be summer sometime. I hear Honda is having some major financial issues because they can't sue Takata. Hence the new Ridgeline pickup suffered R & D advances.

I have a 2008 Honda Civic and haven't looked online for any info about it. Have they sent notices to the affected car owners?

That's about what we are looking for, either a Civic or Corolla. The air bags have me spooked.....

Just one of the dangers uncovered. How many more, that we don't know about? Head light lens pieces can come through the windshield  embedding into the seat, in an accident. How many cars have plastic pieces in front.

2007 Ridgeline wasn't on the list but I did just get a recall notice for it for I think something else in the steering column.  I was told I'd get another notice once parts were available.

i just read that Takata is making a big push to resurrect their image. They hired Tom Brady to be their new spokesman becasue he never over inflates.

Getting them swapped out in our daughters Civic, was a piece of cake .

She had a day off I called ahead made appointment , drank some coffee and watched tv for idk and hour and a half while they swapped them out.

This was late winter early spring of this year, I remembered because if I had boots I would have shed hunt behind the dealer......

Here's her '02 Civic, still going strong .

Their more of an issue in humid environments, like Florida, but still nothing that I would prefer to chance.

There's a simple solution to the whole airbag issue, just don't hit/ be hit by anyone/anything
