the blur
It's interesting someone would use a tag on a fawn.

First-light
On LI when gun season opens in January there are still deer with spots on them. They get shot weighing 40lbs or so.
stoneam2006
I'll be honest shot one thanksgiving day maybe went 75lbs dressed. But was a long ways away. With a bunch of tags in my pocket I'd take her again.Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Will_C
We have taken and weighed several throughout the years. Weights here in the Southern Tier have ranged between 55- 68 pounds dressed.
Larry
When a doe fawn reaches a weight of 80lb or more they can be bread. That why up to 25% of the doe fawns are bread in the 2nd rut or late rut.
Buckstopshere
The weight will vary some depending on when the fawn hit the ground (early May to July) and the buck fawns are generally larger than their sisters. A long time ago a I bet a hunting buddy that he would not get 25 pounds of boned out meat from the fawn he shot. He proved me wrong. He had 26 pounds of boned out meat in a roasting pan total, but had to scrape every bone including between the ribs. Not much quantity, but the quality is excellent.
Doc
You really can have a huge variation in weight between fawns. There is such a long fawning season due to when the does are impregnated during the previous rut, that some fawns get a huge head start on others. Also male fawns seem to be significant bigger as a general rule. I wouldn't even try to come up with an average figure.
YFKI1983
It's interesting someone would use a tag on a fawn. I did. Last weekend I could definitely hunt and only legal shot i had. I'll take 30 pounds of meat in the freezer over an empty one any time.Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

My nephew killed one opening day that went 86 pounds. That's bigger than FL mature deer lol. I weighed it on my scales so I'm sure of it give take a pound.
