So you know I talk to people..I'm in getting blood work done and chat up this young kid...of course I get around to hunting. His family hunts ...he has his tags but doesn't,you can guess where they go. Anyways he mentions his grandmother." She's a bit of a whinner. don't bother her during hunting season" . A family members car broke and asked her to take her somewhere...he says she starts whinning..."It's the last day of deer season and you want me to miss it!" I just laughed, my family knows just leave me alone I'm hunting!...I told him to give her a break,for at our age we realize it very well could be our last day to hunt. :wink:

So this got me to thinking...I have really run into a lot of woman hunters this past year...and ladies my age and older,as well as young girls...You guys in these gun/bow clubs should look into this and have a banquet celebrating woman hunters...Good PR,and perhaps more members to recruits something to get more woman to take their course ,for real,. Set up mentoring,private lands to first timers....just a thought..we don't bite...Well unless you screw with our hunting time <_<

I'm fairly confident there was NO overlap with either.  He's a good guy and they were/are both good gals.

As much as I love my wife, I would not want to hunt with her.   Absence makes the heart fonder.......

I am a lone hunter...I liked camp for a day or two but before we had these home lands I staggered my hunting to go with when camp was empty. Being the only bow hunter,before teaching the kids I had the place to myself...and the same with Turkey...I hunt a bit harder than the guys, always have...I don't use the 4wheelers unless dragging is needed,go in and leave  usually after dark . Use scent control,calls,scout,and plan. Also stand sets, I have many many many more sets than they would ever have and ground blinds. The woman I've met seem to enjoy being lone hunters as well....not as crazed as me,but independent.

Grow, my screen name on some forums is Lone Hunter....

If  a guys wife hunts with them , who the heck is making a nice warm meal so it's ready when one returns from the hunt ?

Below is this years bow buck and my daughters doe , the doe means way more to me , I'd give up a buck any day for,her to take a doe .

Get your daughters out there !

  I wish I would have gotten my daughters more into hunting but their mom made them into girly girls .lol  They did go turkey scouting with me at times , love to walk the woods &  they love to go fishing so not all bad.  My 6 yr old granddaughter is showing interest in hunting, shoots her kid bow & bb gun quite a bit with her dad. They got a new ground blind for X-Mas so she can go with him next yr. I need to do some work on my 8 yr grandson to get him into it, his dad being the problem. oh well.

 I was waiting for a box wine comment ! Well that daughter had a big going away party at Mendon Ponds park, prior to her brief move to NYC, and  that  is left over , she bought it .

Pygmy thanks she is pretty and smart graduated college Suma Cum Laude. My thought is that my Mailman must be very smart and good looking !

She's back here again working at Strong hospital , and recently  boyfriend less , hiker , hunter, camper . Fellas must be over 5' 11" though she's currently holding tryouts , dating her does not get one immediate access to my hunting land either ......

DANG !!  I wish I was 40 years younger and about a foot taller !!

I really am a pretty good catch, though...I still have some of my hair, most of my teeth, and all of my social security..

And REALLY, Good Buddy, wouldn't you like me for a son-in-law ??

Nope...Can't dance worth a damn...

I am pretty good at filleting fish and cooking , though, if that makes a difference ....

I'd also be willing to bet next months SS  check that I can skin a squirrel faster than anybody she has dated..

THAT should impress her  !!...<<smile>>...

Well perhaps our youngest may be a better match, she's the blond in gray skirt with white  infinity scarf . She's a CPA and has her carry license and a .38 snub .

She has no  height requirement although her last BF was 6'4" and a full ride D1 athlete who went off to,law school on a full academic scholarship , not sure if he could skin a squirrel , so,you may have him beat .

I remember when I first started my sister and I walked in at stewart to meet my dad there was a group of hunters including my dad and when we said morning .The others were like girls. They wanted to know where we would be hunting so they would be farther away from us . My father was so proud of us . He said they are my girls and they most likely shoot better then you and will sit longer  and respect people better then you. Hi girls .

That dudes looks like he knows the difference between a morning star and a flail and probably knows how to speak Klingon so he might have you beat in that aspect.
