Just let the dog....and was thinking that it was a nice night. Warmed up a bit from last night and the wind is relatively calm. Maybe would have made a run but need to send a few down range before going out....never like taking a gun out for the 1st time of the season without a bit of range time.

I went out this evening for a short sit.  I didn't see anything, but I did hear some coyotes behind me barking and yipping back and forth.  I was on a time crunch, or else I would have stayed longer.  No matter how many times I hear them, it still makes the hair on my neck stand up.

Extremes can have the hunkered down but they gotta eat at some point .my point was more about how hunting in gusty/high wind is basically impossible.
