After few weeks this will be all forgotten and the useful idiots will go back to watching the Kardashians. But the NRA and all the industry of firearms and target shooting hunting will still be there with deep pockets . I don't think so on this one.

Any time some nut job decides to cut loose on innocent people it is bad regardless of who the victims are. Honestly don't care for ARs if was up to me would make it so you had to be over 21 years old to get a AR unless you are military or law enforcement and maybe even older . But that is because I have no interest in them others will fight tooth and nail for law to be left alone and those guys really really think it is important as I and most the population are indifferent to it

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It's for the same reasons of all laws. Laws are in place for the 5 percent of people that we need them for. Of course we don't want to give those things up but we prob won't have that choice. I am firmly against most legislation that gets introduced cause it always limits the freedoms of people. I am also an NRA member and supporter a member of a local Rod and gun club. But I also am a realist in that we are a declining group and age bracket. The NRA does good work but don't put the blame on them for not getting enough done. They are never going to stop the movement of society and legislation. But only can hope to contain it as much as possible. Edited February 26, 2018 by Robhuntandfish

Steve D
This did not involve any AR's: University of Texas tower shooting On August 1, 1966, after stabbing his mother and his wife to death, Charles Whitman, a former Marine sharpshooter, took rifles and other weapons to the observation deck atop the Main Building tower at the University of Texas at Austin, then opened fire on persons indiscriminately on the surrounding campus and streets. Over the next 90 minutes he shot and killed 14 people (including one unborn child) and injured 31 others; while a final victim died in 2001 from the lingering effects of his wounds. The incident ended when police reached Whitman and shot him dead. As of February 2018, the attack is ranked as the eighth-deadliest

But try and explain that to one of them and it just does not compute.

Did the Constitution stop the safe act? Did it get overturned by the supreme Court? Yea NY has more gun laws, but not even Texas is moving to less legislation. It's not going back. It's a societal change. It still marches forward. Your not losing ypur guns today or tomorrow, but there will be more and more restrictions. It will never go the other way. There is truth in your words Rob. But I cannot and will not concede defeat. And will continue fighting for my grandsons generation, to have the right to bare arms. As the US constitution intended. I will also continue to do all within my means to support the NRA, and all like minded people and politicians. Along with showing and educating anyone willing to listen, what Iaw abiding gun ownership is all about. Only time will tell. But if we lay down for this, whats next? Does anyone truly believe, that more gun regulations will stop a criminal, or mentality diminished coward, from obtaining a firearm and doing harm to the unarmed? Has it worked in NY? Or Chicago, LA, or anywhere with strict gun laws? No it hasn't.

All they can do is hope to slow it up and will never get them to go back. But yes without some voice the progression goes even faster. First-light
The NRA is going downhill. Go ahead and donate your hard earned money it will go no where. They are losing partnerships as we speak. Having a hardline stance gets you nowhere. Isolation is where it will go. Be willing to agree to some moral principles to start. My God how many more children have to die so you can have your right to an AR-15. The tide is turning watch and see. It's all about money for them and that is going to become scarce. AR are not a problem in this country it is a,totally made up story. Don't get tricked into giving up your rights. All I'm saying . Laws should be made only if they have a logical reason . BigVal
Just another pissing match. That's all that comes from gun arguments. Nobody here is going to change any opinions. I'll keep my ars and support who i want to support. And it's all fine because I'll never use my firearms to kill innocent people.
